This news is a nice first step in the right direction. I like Delray and think he had a good enough season to justify a contract extension. The last thing we need his him following in the footsteps of the now infamous 8 players now doing great things at other counties. Wishing the lad all the very best, and hoping the extension is long enough for him to feel settled and welcome at the club, not a one season job with the sword of damocles hanging over him. I think it may only be one year as Delray has just tweeted ‘ +1 looking forward to 2023 ‘

Thanks Joe. So looks like 2023 is the make or break year. Hope he continues in a similar vein as 2022 after lean years in 2020 and 2021. Flower will set him right, seen lots of positive signs. He is a batter that bowls a bit, which worked well in the T20s and 50 overs.

I see that the Argus has finally addressed the issue of Delroy’s absence. Whatever the circumstances, there’s no doubt that this current Sharks line-up would be far stronger if he were in it.

Strange he claims to be upset about Ravi going but jumped ship and let the same player down.
Good luck to him going forward but i dont see him being in Farby's plans.

He has now officially departed the club.
Being away from your family at such a young age has to be very tough.
I wonder if he has half an eye on West Indies career.
