Looks like victories for Leewards Islands and Trinidad yesterday have put Kent on the brink of elimination, even though there are still three matches to go.
Let's hope they can beat Trinidad tomorrow to stay alive. It would be a shame if the final two matches turn out to be dead rubbers.

Bugger.The stream has gone off-air with Kent rocking on 176-6 with eight overs to go.
50 from Gidman but the top order failed again. 24 runs from the ten over power play and Bel-Drum batted 14 overs for 10. He's in a rotten run of form with 96 runs in six innings.
If Kent lose this - and it's not looking clever - I think they will be eliminated, even though they still have two more games to play...

Six wkts went down for 21 in fewer than 30 balls. Obviously copying England!

Coles working up decent pace and beating the bat but no breakthrough... and at 25-0 the stream goes off-air again.
Perhaps live streaming isn't the brave new world I suggested earlier!
T&T need 170 from 43 overs which at the moment is looking like a walk in he park...

And a stroll in the park it was. Nine overs to spare and five wkts in hand.
Kent out of the tournament with four defeats out of six.
Last two games can be treated as pre-season friendlies for the top five to try and get some time in the middle and find some kind of form and for the bowlers to try out their change-ups and whatever new variations they've been working on in the nets...

Disappointing last three games for Kent having done OK earlier in the competition. Has given the players a good workout though and hopefully that will be of benefit. Difficult to assess how Kent will fare in the new season as an overseas signing could make a big difference to the side as it is obvious that the team need another spearhead to the attack alongside Matt Coles.

Looks like we should have bowled first.It's doing a bit and they are bowling well.
At least when they get home there will be plenty of time to put this trip behind them.

Except the purpose of pre-season tours is to build form and confidence , not to result in a demoralised and humiliated squad needing group therapy to help them get over such a chastening experience. Feel sorry for Matt Walker. Dismal start to his reign, although I wouldn't lay any blame at his door. Under-performing senior players, from the captain down, surely have to carry the can. One last chance for a few of the batsmen to salvage some pride tomorrow against the under-19s |
