Presumably, the writer wanted to emphasise that Mills is back from injury; bowling again; and may soon be playing in the T20 comp. Taking no wickets doesn't help the story along with being hit for 38 runs, agreed, but for supporters knowing Mills is close to his return is good news, surely? Don't get me wrong, I hope he is fit and I hope he justifies all the faith and money the club pile on him. What I don't like is when a 'star' is bigged-up when it's not justified. It happened earlier in the year when Jordan was away with the IPL, our losses were blamed on the fact that he was missing from the team and all would be right with Sussex when he returned, that didn't happen either although he seems to be improving with each game. Time will tell with Mills.

Sadly, Mills is problematical. Sussex have a poster boy who rarely is able to contribute. There is still a fear about his medium to long term future, so let's hope they can manage his problem, as it doesn't appear to be curable.

Nevertheless, well done Sussex seconds. Topping the group with eight victories from ten games, and just the double header against the Unicorns to come. A very un-Sussex like position in a T20 competition

Fb, The problem faced: Are more Sussex supporters interested in the news that Tymal Mills is back from injury, bowling again, and close to playing in the T20 Blast; or are followers more predisposed to learning how the 2nd XI faired in their Somerset match? Personally, given the team's success, I would suggest the latter. The difficulty for the journo was Mills not gaining any wickets. If he had taken two or more, it would have been a 'killing two pigeons with one stone' story. edit: Mills plays in the T20 on Thursday at the Ageas Bowl.

Is there a three day match starting today? Yes, at Horsham where the start is delayed due to bad light. Somerset: Trescothic, Byrom, Rouse, Abell, Davies, Shaw, Bess, Leach, Hand, Bridgens, Pereira, Gore. Sussex:

Wells was enjoying a celebratory dinner at the Cricketers Pub this evening. Much deserved.

How do you keep up to date on scores in SSX II games? Went on Mon/Tues to game but was away yesterday (see now it was rained off). Couldn't find anything on Sussex twitter or site to say how things were going. Hands up, rarely watch the seconds play due to work and transport, but like to keep in touch. Shame only one game at County Ground this year.

Shame only one game at County Ground this year. Most games are live scored on either TCS or CricHQ although you have to search for the opposition as Sussex don't use either! I was told by the 2nd XI scorer some time ago that Sussex don't/won't pay for it.

Sussex 2's tie the second game to take a point and therefore qualify for the 2nd XI T20 finals day at Arundel next week.
