I like to think Fuller playing is a positive. He's a splendid bowler but his record against us is interesting to say the least! Alas, no Fuller: DJ Malan, PR Stirling, NRT Gubbins, AC Voges, JA Simpson†, JEC Franklin*, RF Higgins, TS Roland-Jones, TG Helm, ST Finn, RH Patel

Hectic opening to the game, 31/1 off 3.1. Given our seam bowling options, attack may be the best form of defence.

Playing 2 spinners a bit of a surprise on an overcast day. Time will tell if this was a good call!

Strong batting line-up on paper!!! Think we may be a seamer short but perhaps playing the two spinners will be worth the risk. Good luck Sussex!!!

Beer and Briggs very effective so far: key wickets and reined in the scoring rate. Should I tempt providence and suggest an over or two of the faster men before lunch to grab another wicket and then clean up this afternoon?

Once again we let the lower order run away at the end!
Game over, season over, start the car.....

If Sussex can score 342 runs in 50 overs then it is official: The team have kickstarted their season.

Once again we let the lower order run away at the end! Game over, season over, start the car..... It seemed to me that we let things drift in the middle, bowling through Beer and Briggs until the batsmen were thoroughly comfortable, then not having anything special to offer to change the rhythm. That's why I was hoping that after the double breakthrough we could keep on changing the pattern, not letting the batsmen settle. But it doesn't seem that Wright thinks like that.

I don't think Wright thinks at all as he's out first ball!
Absolute shambles.

Briggs & Beer bowled very well it seems. Cant believe Wright got a golden, what a shocker he is having at the moment; I'm sure he'll find something to blame!
