I don't disagree with you but there aren't a lot of alternatives. When Wright returns I would expect him to replace Liddle. The alternative is no Liddle and it's an attractive one. The point is without Liddle you still need another bowler and I don't exactly see a better alternative within the current squad. We need wickets FAST! Get Magoffin and Piolet on for the next three before the powerplay.

Get Magoffin and Piolet on for the next three before the powerplay. The point is that you're guaranteed ten an over with Liddle and in this format, that's a hundred. It pains me to say Zaidi is a better option, but he probably is, or Hobden. Zaidi a better option? Don't make me laugh!

Liddle still bowling despite Nash and Liddle having bowled 10 overs. Hatchett has five overs left with only 9 in the innings. To be fair Liddle has done better than I thought he would. Hatchett and Magoffin to finish?

Hatchett and Magoffin to finish? Your expectations of Liddle must be as low as a limbo dancer's bar. I fail to understand why Liddle and Zaidi were given two year contracts. Robinson thinks Liddle should be in the England team instead of Gurney. Is Magoffin injured?

Well bowled Liddle you managed to keep it below a hundred!
Would Hobden have done any worse?

Magoffin didn't leave the field, so assume he wasn't injured?

Robinson should think twice before making such bad decisions in the future which were so glaringly wrong at the time.

Cut your losses. Pay him off. It won't help us for now or next season as the budget has already been used up.

If we win today, Piolet's contribution with the ball should not be overlooked. Too right. Stef Piolet just gets on with doing his job, without any fuss or bother. Pity he doesn't get more plaudits.

Not being there and merely looking at the scorecard can someone enlighten me as to why Liddle bowled 10 overs at an economy rate of 8.6 and Magoffen 7 overs at an economy rate of 4.4?
