Who is going to score 300+ runs we need to get out of this with a draw?
There is no excuse for being 34-3 on this pitch.
It could be all over tonight if they bring on Scrimshaw to bowl short stuff as our batsmen themselves in the first innings when he did this.
72-4 another soft dismissal.
I said day 1 this was turning so it is beggars belief we only had 21 overs worth of spin at them.

Scrimshaw out of the attack for bowling three short balls in an over (England bowled six every over for an entire session at Headingley).

Great fightback from Coles and leaves the game finely poised. Huge day for Carson tomorrow.

Well done James Coles, who must be a lead candidate for our player of the season so far. We’re in for an interesting final day. Just hope we bowl better in the second innings.

When we come to bowl in the second innings I would open the bowling with Carson as the pitch is turning and rotate the seamers from the other end. But make no mistakes we will have to bowl much better than we did in the first innings.

A little nervous this morning. I think weve played the slightly better cricket of the 2 sides but probably should have been in a better position.
Interestingly our carbage attack is one of 2 teams in Div 2 to have claim the maximum possible bowling points.

I don't expect to see a declaration before lunch.

How many uninterupted matches have we played this year? Id be looking at 60 more maximum and get them in 20 minutes before lunch. We have to start winning.

Wouldnt mind getting bowled out either, takes the decision away from Alsop.

"Draw Calling!" 12 points, Sussex remain undefeated, and we sit on 106 points for the season? Many congrats to James Coles. Now strikes his highest first-class score. What a prospect we have. While, the commentators are pushing for a declaration to add some excitement to the game, giving Sussex a chance to win, why on earth would Alsop do this, given the team's inability to take 20 wickets. While, Leicestershire's game will be a draw, almost certainly the club is to gain less batting points than us, so after this match Sussex returns to second in Division 2. Seeking a win in this match would be madness. We need to choose the right game to go all out for a victory.

We should be smashing the ball round the park now.

Yeah very disappointing approach to this considering we are told they will always take the positive option.

318 off 67 overs is 4.75 runs per over. Definitely would dangle the carrot to Derbyshire.
