And now Lamb gets his ton. Three centurions in this innings - happy days.

Just back home. Thought I would tune in, having seen an amazing score. Time to watch some fireworks. First ball, Simpson takes a comfortable single. Next ball, Lamb misses and is out. I think I should go out again!

Can’t help thinking we should have declared earlier to give us the best chance of a win with the rain that’s forecast tomorrow. 650 runs is useless if we end up with 8 points for a draw. I thought we were going to be aggressive with our declarations under Farbrace?

We have batted really well. Why on earth are we continuing after tea. Declare and get them in.

I hope we haven’t forfeited a win just so one player could reach a personal milestone.

Weve proven so far we are a different animal this year. Watching Coles chase down the ball heading for the boudary in the last over to save 1 shows what mentality this side has.

Start delayed, inspection at 11am The chances of getting enough play to force a win are looking slim 🙁

Disappointing weather has derailed our push for victory.
Ill assume now its going to be a draw and we move on to Gloucester which i cant see any other result than a Sussex win.

They are playing at Edgbaston which is less than an hour away from Leicester but I guess that’s the difference between a Test ground where money is spent on drainage/covers etc and a lowly 2nd Div ground.

Match is drawn as more rain is falling and the outfield is waterlogged.
