Could this now be true as Sussex announce the departure of Jason Gillespie at the end of the 2020 season!

I suppose we shouldn't be surprised Gillespie is leaving, but it still comes as a bit of a shock. I would suggest there are various reasons for departing from Covid to money, to not having a squad of Championship Sussex players that were good enough to make an immediate impact. Put simply, the dynamic duo set-up never worked even though supporters prayed it would. My concern is Rob Andrew. Will he now leave to? Re: Chris Adams, while I would love to see him back at Hove in some capacity that boat has passed, in my view. In all honesty, do not be surprised if Mark Robinson returns. The calls for ROBBO will be loud and raucous from some sections of the club fans. He is presently out of work too. sussexcricket.co.uk/news/jason-gillespie-leaving-sussex-end-2020-season?amp=1

Yeah? Hopefully he'll go too, he's done nothing except keep a club with no debt afloat. Great news about Gillespie. Yes to Adams, no to Robbo. Never go back, cos once you go back you don't go back - or whatever it is. I'm free. Emu business is a bit slow now restaurants are closing up and I could do with a hobby. Everyone knows I'll move us in the right direction. Will it be advertised up the jobbie?

Recent article in The Cricketer had Mark Robinson and Michael Yardy as candidates. Neither of them particularly inspiring in my view.

I remember reading Chris Adams book some years ago and thinking that he sounded a bitter and unhappy man. He has been out of the English game for a long time now. I am doubtful whether he would be the right person for us now.

Does Griz make your worst England 11 along with Chris Cowdrey, Ian Ward, Salisbury, Robert Croft, Martin McCague, Maurice Tremlett and England's oldest living test player, Donald Smith, stats dont look too clever.
I always get a bit irritated when these teams comprise players that have only played one or two tests, like Alan Wells, Bryan Hamilton or Lathwell. If that was the criteria Goochie with his 0,0,31,6 would be a lame duck and Shane Warne with his 1-155 would make the Australia stiffs, but they were both given extended opportunities.

Bring grizz home. You know it makes sense Rob!! Matt or yards as a number 2 would make a dream team but it won't happen with Greenfield in charge so get rid of him first. Simples!!

Chris Adams - Sussex Head Coach, Matt Prior as his No2! That would be one good thing to come out of 2020!

This is what I’d like to see:-
Matt Prior - Director of Cricket
Jon Lewis - Head Coach
Chris Adams - Batting Coach
James Kirtley - Pace Bowling Coach
Ian Salisbury - Spin Bowling Coach
Jason Swift - Team Analyst
