No one knows but they are my preferred choices. What you have said could relate to any new coach but to say about Matt's cycling team seems an excuse not to want him. How does anyone know until he is offered the job or spoken to? Same with grizz coaching at a school and Moores with what has he done at Notts and why would he join us. All very cheap shots. Not heard any criticism from you of your mate dizzy? Total failure and even a blind man could see we have gone backwards under him. Forget him and think positive four our new coach whoever that is rather than your constant negativity. All excuses not to give the dream team a job. They can't do a worse job can they? Course they cant. We have probably lost Danny due to the mess dizzy has left us in. We’re talking about Gillespie’s replacement, yet you seem to think that because I’m not jumping on board the Adams bus that that makes me Gillespie’s mate?🤷♂️ “Forget him and think positive four our new coach” - firstly I thought there were three in your dream team, not four, and secondly, you’re the one who keeps mentioning him, I’m actually trying to debate his possible replacement, but you keep dragging Gillespie into it🙄🤷♂️ Oh sod it, may as well say it - bring back Dizzy!!!

Looks like I made a mistake in joining. So much for free speech. The thread says Adams coming back but I am not allowed to give my views. Obviously ashingtonmartlet views take preference then. I obviously know there are budget constraints with whoever comes in so you might as well close this thread down as were too skint to afford anyone. I am amazed that despite being a failure including presiding over the worst defeat in our history last season v Northants the banned word D person has hardly had any deserved criticism. Very strange.

Looks like I made a mistake in joining. Depends on your motive for joining. Nobody on this board expects everyone else to agree with them.
So much for free speech. The thread says Adams coming back but I am not allowed to give my views. But you have given your views - several times. Obviously ashingtonmartlet views take preference then. Who says? There is no judge or arbitrator of views on this board. You've both expressed your views, why do you say someone else's views take preference over yours?I obviously know there are budget constraints with whoever comes in so you might as well close this thread down as were too skint to afford anyone. As you realise that there are budget constraints, why have you suggested the appointment of a dream team that you know the club can't afford? Don't be so defeatist - the club will have to appoint someone it can afford. I am amazed that despite being a failure including presiding over the worst defeat in our history last season v Northants the banned word D person has hardly had any deserved criticism. Very strange. If you read other threads, you'll see criticism of Dizzy. However, this thread is not about Dizzy - it's about the choice of his successor? Maybe you've got your threads muddled?

I am hardly being defeatist. My posts are all positive and the dream team was said tongue in cheek. I was giving my opinion but the other poster continually gave negative response excuses for them not to come back. Why not be positive about the said 3? I know it may not happen but it would be great if it did. They might think were in such a mess they are on a hiding to nothing. Or what have they got to lose from the D regime as it cant get any worse. They might also be a lot cheaper than you think but nobody knows as it's all off season speculation which I thought was the whole idea for this forum. I wont mention the D word again but I am so happy he has gone.Happy days 😂

Flash & Ash are like the cyber police on here Trolleybuss. They're the voice of reason(able) liberalism. They don't like a slightly aggressive tone, gives them the heebie-jeebies. You're more than welcome and frankly needed for the counter-balance.
The dream team is clearly a dream though, Adams on his tod will do nicely.

And having a different view is not being negative. Being negative is some of the slagging off of the previous coach that’s been on here. Ah, but he’s my mate so I’m bound to say that.

Tongue in cheek meaning I want it to happen but know it wont with Greenfield around. The former coach or your mate has got away with murder and deserved all the criticism and more but were off topic so let's leave it for now. GOSBTS😂

gmdf, Thank you for that. Personally, I have nothing against Dizzy, unlike some on the Forum. His first season was successful taking the Club to T20 Finals Day and then the actual Final, although the way Sussex dropped away in the Championship when, at one point, they looked odds on to be promoted, was disappointing. Once Archer departed for England, it became a whole lot harder for him and 2019 unravelled followed by the present awfully depressing Covid season. My amusement is the Guardian headline: Cricket 'Everyone loved him': Jason Gillespie leaves England as a national treasure.Nothing could be further from the truth. On social media it is around 50/50 between antagonists and protagonists. In fact, Gillespie had to block various posters on Twitter including the infamous and long-term Sussex supporter, dibrierley, who regularly spent her time criticising the Aussie's exploits. Although, when things got nasty the 'cavalry of ten' arrived to support him which was only fair and right. Gillespie and the Guardian are two peas in a pod. This is little more than a political back-slapping competition with David Hopps, a renowned left-winger too, quoted for measure.
