Can anyone tell me which Tune-In BBC Live Event number the commentary is on? Usually find it on SCCC twitter but cant access it. Would really appteciate this as finding it by trial and error on mobile with poor signal will probably miss close of play!

Oh this is disappointing after being 250-2, but Notts are a decent side and I suppose we'd have settled for 350 at the start Well done Chris Nash

Many congratulations to Chris Nash. He has been threatening a big score for a month. It is ironic he is finding form at the close of the season. And Cachopa continues his excellent form. What a signing. For if anyone questions how Sussex have turned themselves around in recent months, one answer is Cachopa in the middle order. He offers a solidity and consistency which RHB or Machan never had. Meanwhile, Yardy may find it difficult to get back into the hunt at this late stage.
As usual Sussex rely on one player to gain a good team score but given we are now safe from relegation, anything from here is a bonus. And with Jordan back in the side, tomorrow could be interesting.

Excellent analysis, s and f, borne out dramatically by some key figures. Our early and middle-order batting has been weak all year until the last few weeks. Here are the figures for 2nd and 3rd wicket stands pre-Cachopa and with Cachopa: 2nd wicket pre-Cachopa - 449 runs in 17 innings, av 26.41 2nd wicket since Cachopa - 578 runs in 7 innings, av 82.57 3rd wicket pre-Cachopa - 492 runs in 17 innings, av 28.94 3rd wicket since Cachopa - 365 runs in 7 innings, av 52.14 Cachopa not only scores the runs himself, but he also gives the stability for others to thrive with him.

Does any one know why Jordan is going in ahead of Zaidi? A request (demand) from the England management?

hhs,
As always excellent stat research. It is surprising how powerful statistics make a point. Delighted my 'hunch' was proven correct.

A valiant attempt from Zaidi to earn us a 5th batting point fails at the last. Good little stand there between him and Hatchett

Like Nash, Zaidi finding form at the end of the season, which is good news given Tredwell isn't available. Pity the 400 wasn't reached but 391 is a strong 1st innings score and with the present overhead conditions both Jordan and Magoffin could make early inroads into the Notts batting.

Great stats and shows what a huge player he could be next season. Middle order could score a lot of runs next year.

I wonder if, Joyce's great form notwithstanding, Cachopa should be a candidate for Player of the Year at the Awards night? Certainly this terrific form shouldn't go unmarked. D0es anyone know the nomination rules and categories?

That drop by Joyce off Hales when on 5 - let's hope it doesn't bite us. He's now on 22.
