Why is Bess not playing when India's spinners have taken nine wickets? I thought India played one too many and England played one short - 3 & 2 seemed right to me, so they should have played Bess. It is in India after all but they went dizzy with the pink ball and the day/night thing I reckon. On this evidence India should have played five spinners cos England are clueless. Top order batters missing slow straight balls, astonishing. The ball's turning sharp about one in 30. Play for the 29 that don't and let the one spin off elsewhere you morons. Ever heard of moving your feet too? Get down. Too late now, done for. Game over. Bess should have played instead of Broad. Sundar is no Jadeja. Where is Jadeja?

Well well well, 20 wickets in 4 sessions. Game on?

22 wickets in two sessions and three balls. This is an astonishing game, I think the pitch is fine but the batting is very peculiar.
England have a chance. Anyone planning on watching some cricket over the weekend doesn't.
Or four sessions and three balls, rather.

Fantastic viewing. For two days. Joke batting from England, making the pitch look horrendous. Root & Stokes pinned back to straight balls playing for turn yet again. Why are they letting themselves go back to full balls when they don't know if it's gonna spin or not? These batsman have no feet. I've seen one player step down and hit the ball over the bowler's head - Ashwin, four.

And again, Pope again. The ball does not move, straight as a dye. They learn nothing and now walking wicket Archer is in.

Bit unfair. He lasted all of 2 balls.

I tell the, I don't care how lucky Archer has been when batting for Sussex, the man is a true 11. 10 if Old man Anderson's in the team.
Astonishingly, Strauss seems to think we can still win. India need 49 to win. I thought he was joking but he isn't - somebody call the nut doctor.
Two times Leach stepped down the track and hit the ball, got a six and a two. The amount of batters pinned backed playing for turn to a straight one has done me.

On the basis of this match we should select nine batsman and two spinners.
Burns Sibley Crawley Root Stokes Lawrence Pope Another batsman Foakes wk Bess Leach
The English batsman need a visit to Specsavers!

Ebony Rainford-Brent: "T20 World Cup is very important for England, so the T20 series and the IPL is important. England are making the right decisions, looking forward, by resting Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali".
No! Test cricket should always trump IPL when it comes to national decision making.

Silverwood and Root are going to look rather silly when they are forced to play Bess in the next match after telling him he was dropped because he needed to go and work on his consistency.

Surely with Root as the second spinner, we can replace Bess with another batsman.
