Perhaps it's some and some? England cannot play spin as they are technically inept. Most of the batsmen got to the non-spinning straight ball. The best use of their time would be visit Specsavers and get their eyes tested! |

No comments on the mighty England? Seems people would rather talk about that hippy Gillespie - strange board. Strange quiet board.
I'm missing this test cos I'm a tax contributor - no need for thank yous. Unfortunately for me, there don't seem to be no highlights or some sort. Is there any highlights somewhere or some sort?
I wanna know if they've learnt how to play a slow straight ball yet.

What a sorry bunch of bar-stewards. Hopefully our one-day side can restore some pride cos this is the worst England test side I've seen in my lifetime. Although I am only nine.

What do the ECB expect when they have marginalised the red ball game in the domestic calendar? How much proper cricket do these guys play in preparation for test cricket?

I don't think that's the problem. It's similar in India I think, and everywhere. We simply have a poor test side I think - an ageing seam attack, very ordinary spinners and a batting line-up that refuses to learn quickly. The top three are a major issue, as has been the case for ages. Didn't replace Strauss, didn't replace Trott, and haven't replaced Cook.
The much maligned England side of the 90s would marmalize this side. They were unlucky Australia and SA were so good frankly. We'd kill for Giles or Croft now. And Atherton or Hussain in the top three. Bit of Stewie at the top. Yes sir we would.
