Yes itll be a kick in the mid section but still ultimately a raw talent that needs nurturing, it could present an opportunity to sign an experienced opener.

I do genuinely like how you try and put a positive spin on things but losing Ali would arguably be the worst of all the player departures under squeaky. It sets an awful precedent and shows once and for all that the plan cannot work. There’s no upside to losing a gun 21 year old who’s been at the club since the age of 9

Or do you go to work and try to fix things for the future. He does have frailties run out backing up in 3 consecutive CC games, once is unlucky, twice is a bit silly, 3 times is stupidity. I dont want him here if he doesnt want to play for the club that can only create further problems. Ill put this to you, we lose Orr but sign Carlson? Purely just for the fun of it who would you choose?

He’s our best young player by a country mile! England quality in a couple of years in my opinion.
If he left to join Hampshire it’s shows how far we have fallen.

We’re allowed an opinion, and to vent our anger, or are we just meant to meekly roll over and accept the club’s explanation on yet another departure? How long do you go on making excuses for each player going before we’ve got no decent players left, the penny drops and even you stop defending them?

I'm not saying you cant express disappointment but the key is how you come back from it. We know you don't like them and that's fine but I will always choose to be optimistic and take the positive from any situation. To add he hasn't actually left yet.

I don’t not like anybody, it’s never personal. I’m just angry with how our club has been run for too many years, and if this news turns out to be true, then even with those responsible for the mess so far either gone or moved aside, things aren’t going to suddenly get better clearly and there will be more fall-out from their damage still to come. How anyone can be happy or even be attempting to justify it all is mystifying. How we come back from it? Get real, if the kids are starting to leave as well, then who on wary is going to want to join us?
You should be angry too, and I’m sure you are really….🎣🎣🎣

Im not angry and thats genuine, pissed off maybe that a good player may have chosen to leave the club but thats it, im a realist not a fantasist.
Ill buy you half a lager if we havent had any piece of silverware by the end of the 2025 season when i believed we would start winning again!

If he is under contract until the end of next season, can someone explain how he can leave (unless the club is happy for him to go)? Surely a contract must have some value.
