They say a picture paints 1,000 words. Two photos taken today at Hove of Chris Silverwood, Jon Lewis and Jofra Archer. I wonder what Silverwood thinks of the Sussex bowlers' performance?

I've been busy all day today and just managed to tune in for the final overs of the day. First ball I watch, van Zyl edges to slip. I think I should go away.

Crocombe is a decent bat. But that decision to send him in as night watchman was madness.

"Night Watchman" is a term that should remain in the 20th century.
Even so, a brilliant day for Sussex. Huge kudos to Salisbury for so quickly turning things around, proving once again that Gillespie's unexpected departure is a blessing in disguise.

They did more sweeping than a Scottish curler at the winter Olympics. I don't believe for one second that only one person was involved in Claydon's cheating ways, there never is. I hope he isn't picked and I'm disgusted he's still at the club. Shame on you Sussex. they should of got rid last season when it happened very poor from Sussex he should never play for them again Damn straight Wingman. Where's this attack come from? The Academy mainly. Beautiful. Haines? Yeah he's from there too. It always sweeter. Great start, keep it up Sussex.

Congrats to Luke Wells for making his Lanky debut yesterday. He came in at No.3 and scored 45 runs off 108 balls which included 7 fours. He tweeted, "Very special to make my debut today, and it’s such a privilege to represent the red rose. Going to be a great game this week v Kent. Loving the challenge!" 🌹 Below is today's live stream link. At least the commentary works, but it sounds like an echo chamber! sussexcricket.co.uk/match-centre?customer-id=B20CB641-6F61-4AEA-AD19-8CF645FBB399&match-id=420e361f-2144-4c0b-8b40-b36fce73fd75Cv, Social distancing? Please be a little more imaginative. Now, Chris Silverwood has "all the England selection power" after Ed Smith stepped down this week, it is an accolade he chose Hove to watch his first game under this new guise. Obviously, interested in watching Ollie and Lythe, in particular, while seeing how Archer is fairing with his rehabilitation, as well as meeting up with the England captain, George Garton must be on his future potential shopping list. He represents the whole package, but like with all seamers, his vulnerability to injury will never be too far away. Tom Haines must also be on Silverwood's radar as one to follow after an excellent start to the season. Also, great to see Jon Lewis back at Hove. His association with the club especially alongside young Jof, remains strong, which begs the question: Behind the scenes is Lewis assisting Garton, Crocombe, Hunt and the other seamer youngsters? Well, that's a few hundred words, anyway. PS: The commentary is now echoless. Excellent. Now 150 run parity with 7 wickets remaining. Who would have thought it 24 hours ago after Yorkshire won the toss and chose to bat, then reached60-0. Here we go. Too good to be true. Batting collapse begins. Sussex: 168-5.Here we go again... Travis Head for Rawlins, imho. Salt and Rawlins should become white ball specialists. Oh, Brown, and you were doing so well. Arrgh! Sussex: 212-7 (62 runs ahead)... I don't believe this. Ollie out first ball. Sussex have lost 5 wickets for 44 runs. Sussex: 212-8 at lunch. The middle order batting vulnerabilities remain. Felt sorry for Brown who was offering a gritty captain's innings by taking on Bess and winning. Ho-hum.

I'm going. 4 balls and 2 wickets. Could you stay out all day tomorrow too please? I don't believe in jinxes, but this is getting ridiculous. I have just tuned in for the first time today. Three balls and Brown is given out LBW. I really need to stay away. Or, do wickets fall whenever I watch? Yorkshire might be all out for 20 if I tune in this afternoon.

Rawlins doesn’t value his wicket enough, there’s always a rash shot coming. He doesn’t study the bowler/conditions/pitch for a few before he has a wild heave-ho. I’ve said it before but I think he’s a white ball player only.
With Salt and Head to come in he’ll be one of the ones to make way.

Looking on the bright side, we’ve passed their score and secured a batting point. Any more runs on the total now will be a bonus and although Garton is capable of a big score I can’t see 10 and 11 staying there long enough tbh, it’s a shame Ollie got a rip snorter first ball.

I can't believe that we will rattle out Yorkshire for 150 a second time. Any runs we can squeeze out of the last two wickets could be valuable. Fingers crossed (and I promise not to watch).

Massively disappointing collapse, but Yorks are good. At least we have a first innings lead. Now we need to bowl well.

So 221 all out and a lead of only 71.
Ollie Robinson the key now.
