He swears a lot. Never the less, I hope he chooses *** Hove.

Isn't grounders endeavouring to produce a lightening quick strip at Hove? Well that was supposedly the plan a couple of seasons ago.

Only on match basis, not fit enough to pay him a yearly salary. Sicknote!
He might be quick but in Div 2 he got no wickets what makes anyone think he'll do well in Div 1?
His record is not good. Only where he is because he can bowl quick, not straight but quick! Overrated. Not someone I think we should take a chance on except a match basis until he has proven himself.

Similar could have been said about Jordan, and that turned out alright didn't it

I think you will find that Jordan had "flattered to deceive". Mills has never even flattered!

Maybe Mills has asked for too much dosh and the Sussex management are negotiating. He would be a good signing has injury doubts but so did CJ when you signed him from us and look what happened!!

Due to be unveiled as a Sussex player tomorrow, I think.

One of the reasons Mills has signed for Sussex is that he admires Robinson after working under him on the Lions tour of Sri Lanka last winter.
Which of his charges on the Lions tour of South Africa this winter do we think Robinson should tap up with a view to joining Sussex in 2016?
The party is: Bairstow, Ballance , Billings , Brooks, Lees, Lyth , Overton, Plunkett , Rankin , Rashid , Riley , Robson , Trott , Vince, Parry, Patel, Roy.
Depending on how far we are committed to Tredwell, I'd say Rashid or Riley. Rashid probably the pick of all three due to his batting. Overton might be a good call, too. Somerset have got two of them so surely wouldn't miss one!

With an unusual name like Tymal who's going to come up with a nickname for Sussex that sticks?
Flymo is my suggestion - any others?

I'm not for one moment suggesting that cricketers are not intelligent , smart , sophisticated and educated human beings. But when it comes to dressing room nicknames all of that tends to go out of the window. It will be 'Millsy' . On the other hand, if you look at his twitter account, he seems to prefer to answer to 'Power Ranger' or 'Morph'. Dressing up as one tonight (presumably for a Halloween party) seems to have got him more excited than signing for his new county! Anyway, a warm welcome to Millsy/Morph/Power Ranger.

Once more Robinson gambles with a player but in recent years he's had a fair hit rate. Jordan v Amjad. Magoffin v Lewis etc.. Injury prone seamers are the gamble but if Mills has got through his growth pains like Jordan, Flymo (!) looks an exciting prospect.
And as Grounders continues to create a seamer friendly pitch at Hove, consistent 90mph balls being hurled down the strip, all sounds Donaldesque and very threatening.
Joyce said at the 'Players Awards' that Sussex required two new players to offer serious competitiveness for winning the championship. So, one down, next stop, a Tredwell look-a-like.

I don't envy the opposition batsmen - he's going to Tymal in knots . . .

Couldn't be more delighted with this signing. Sussex needed a replacement for Chris Jordan and he was the outstanding candidate, so kudos to the county for making it happen
