What a beautiful Hunt. Remember though, as Devon said, it's the Pope that kills you.
What the hell are you talking about S&F? You got jibberish on the brain.

And Carlson who always does well against us is dropped by Seifert off Archie.
Run rate required now above 4.

Lenham gets Carlson.
Well at least we are making them work for it!!

Some curious bowling changes at the River Taff End.
An over of Rawlins, now Haines. Not exactly a wicket taking threat. Boundaries starting to come now.
I thought Lenham was bowling well and would have stuck with him.

At least Sussex have showed some fight today. Hopefully Orr and Pujara will replace Ibrahim and Seifert with Carter keeping wicket in the next CC match.

23 needed in 39 deliveries with 5 wickets remaining.
Should be a walk in the park. Seriously, when was the last time a team lost 8 wickets for 23 runs in 37 deliveries🤭🤭?

How long before Andrew, Greenfield, Kirtley and Salisbury are sacked? You look at the four teams who finished top in the Premier League, they all have top class coaches. It isn't a coincidence. I look at Derbyshire. Hardly one of the more fashionable Counties, yet they have appointed the experienced Mickey Arthur as coach this season, have just beaten Middlesex, got in a top class overseas and are currently sitting joint third in Division Two having lost just once this season. I have nothing against Salisbury or Kirtley, genuine hard working decent guys who are giving it their all. But, in any sport it is a results business and we are consistently falling short. In any other sport, something would have happened long before now.

We could go a lot worse than follow Derbyshire's lead.

The coaches can only work with the squad they have, it’s the management who are at fault here and need to go. They are the ones responsible for decimating our squad and putting all the youngsters in the firing line.

The coaches can only work with the squad they have, it’s the management who are at fault here and need to go. I grant you the squad is less experienced Joe, but is that the problem here or is it the coaches aren't getting the best out of them? We have seen some realy odd decisions around selection, batting orders, even choice of overseas. I accept we have been unlucky with injuries, but add a couple of top class seamers to the group then I reckon we have a decent team. Orr, Haines, Alsop, Pujara, Clark, Carter, two from Hudson-Prentice, Garton & Ibrahim, Carson or Lenham as your spinner and then aforementioned seamers with Crocombe and Hunt in the background. I give you Dizzy was disappointing, possibly his success at Yorkshire flattered to deceive, but should that stop us looking for a top class coach? As for the non-playing management I am not really able to comment, but if as many suggest they are implicit in where we are, then yes time for change there aswell. I think we can both agree what we have in place at present with 19 Championship games without a win, unlikely to qualify beyond the group stages for T20 and no prospect of this changing going forward then what is in place at present needs changing.

Sort of agree with you, but Salisbury seems quite happy with it all, and some of his comments at the forum in November ranged from deluded to downright disrespectful of our past achievements, so I’m not a huge fan. Don’t forget how we seemed to come up with every excuse going over the last 2 seasons for not picking certain players in championship cricket, which he must’ve had some say in.

Face the facts, we got destructive office wallows and incompetent coaches. Hopefully the Chinese whispers are true (can he still say that) and these jokers will all be gone by September. Adams & Flower all the way.
Good effort today, some real young gems being produced. Juice & the L-man showing us we're good for a keeper & a twirler thanks. Just sign an OS bowler right now & we might just do alright. If we don't, I'm not sure we're gonna win a single game.
Do it do it now.
