How does everyone see us doing? Me it would be a good to see us win 4games think that's the best we will do as kirtley isn't picking the side and feel slightly different with Salisbury selecting the team as he seems at least he has a plan.Time will tell I guess.

With Alsop back and adding Pujara, Robinson and Finn I’d like to think we could be competitive. We only lose Garton to The 100 of those who could have played whereas other counties will lose more.
I’ll start off positively, as I always do, but time will tell.

How does everyone see us doing? Me it would be a good to see us win 4games think that's the best we will do as kirtley isn't picking the side and feel slightly different with Salisbury selecting the team as he seems at least he has a plan.Time will tell I guess. Unfortunately, I suspect this will play out very much like our Championship and T20 campaigns. I anticipate we will continue to see progress within our batting unit. Could very well post some reasonable and competitive totals. Pujara should continue his good form, Clark and Carter should get one or two scores, Alsop and Orr to be the two who impress most from the young group, particularly Orr who I just have a feeling will have a really impressive tournament. Our problem as it has been all season will be our bowling. Yes, we will have Robinson, but for how many games? Plus, he is limited to ten overs and given our death bowling has been woeful in recent times and we are limited as to how we can use those overs then this just compounds the problem. Finn, I still hold serious reservations about both the wisdom of his signing and how much he will bring to the team. He needs to do better and by that I mean a LOT better than what he has produced to date. As for the rest of the seamers, it is a big ask of Hunt, Crocombe, Karvelas and Currie. We lack a top notch spinner. Rawlins tends to do better in white ball, but whilst he may hold down one end is unlikely to take a high number of wickets. Teams seem far wiser to Lenham after his successful introduction last season. He may get a few wickets, but at what cost? Our coaches need to work out our best eleven and the role each individual is being asked to carry out far quicker than they did in the T20. Even with weakened teams, I expect Notts, Warwickshire, Surrey and Somerset will have too much for us. Even Gloucestershire and Leicestershire perform better in the white ball version. I admire Joe's optimism and positive thinking, but we will do well to win two matches, three at best and I envisage a finish at best in the bottom half. I really, really, really hope I am wrong, because given where we currently are as a County we could really do with a good showing.

Given the sharp drop off in Sussex involvement in the 100 (and even Garton is a bit lucky on current form and fitness) this has to be our best opportunity for some success this year. Not getting carried away but reasonably hopeful.
Our bowling looks a bit more competitive now and I think Karvelas could be handy in this format.
Ibrahim opening against Oxon is curious. They’re not planning to do that in the competition proper are they?

Goodness me. How do you evaluate the win over Oxfordshire? Does Salisbury know his best team and the role of each player? What is his team for Notts away? Assume Pujara starts. Is Robinson available? I thought he was contracted to the 100 nonsense. Looking forward to the 50 over tournament. Much better format than T20.

Ollie Robinson has been signed by Manchester Originals so that’s a huge loss for us in this comp.

Notts won the toss and bat first.
No Ollie Robinson! If he traveled up he’d be playing so he’s either not traveled or he's been injured in warm up. Really don’t fancy our chances now.

Robinson, 100 player? Ruse by Salisbury to blame others. More fanciful tosh from him. Why Ward and no Carter? Last year Carter got winning runs I remember? Ward the T20 specialist who blocked 5 balls in the 17th over? Can't get a run in the SCL! Yet Salisbury picks these no hopers. giving more opportunities to him and denying better (IMO) players the opportunity. Will Lenham get a wicket?
No chance whatsoever today and the rest of the games.

I dunno, don't recognise half of their team. This comp has lost all meaning now and will be dropped by 2025.
Robinson plays for Lancs now, and Juice? Where the hell's Juice? He'll be on his way too if we ain't careful.

Strange selection here bearing in mind who played against Oxon on Sunday. Pressure on young Lenham to bowl well and Ward to bat well.
