Let's be honest, the majority of us never expected to win six of our eight group matches, finish top of the table and secure a home semi-final.
This has been a fantastic effort. The whole team, together with the coaching staff deserve full credit.
I am still not convinced by Salisbury and Kirtley, but they selected the teams and have overseen this campaign and we should acknowledge the part they have played and rightly recognise their contribution.
Every player has at some point scored runs or taken wickets. Irrespective of how the remainder of the competition unfolds, this has been a welcome step forward and given a long awaited and massive boost to Sussex supporters.
Ok, some teams have been severely weakened, but you can only play what is put in front of you. In many of the matches we have not just won, but absolutely destroyed the opposition.
I am really hoping these performances can continue into our last three Championship matches next month and provide a strong foundation for next season.
It has been so enjoyable seeing what the impact of a few victories has had on the self confidence and belief of this young group.
My only request is we stop pussy footing around the Currie and Karvelas issue and get them signed up properly before another County steps in.

My arm is bruised after pinching myself so many times today. Top of the league and a semi-final, at home, in the One-Day Cup. I wonder what odds you could have got before the competition began. 100/1?

For those who discontinued their membership, Pujara has alone has been worth every penny of my membership fee this season. Astounding batting.

I have been trying to find out which winner of the quarter finals have Sussex waiting for them at Hove? Is it the Lancs vs Notts one, or is it the Leics vs Kent one? Lovely to hear that we have the stand-in Skipper Pujara available for the home semi. He will be missed for the final, but we should have the Skipper back then. That solves the opener dilemma and Alsop and Clark at 3 and 4. Happy days

I am going to be cheering for Lancs, would be lovely to see Luke Wells back at Hove for a Semi Final and we can give him the send off he deserved, win or lose. Nothing to do with the fact that Notts were really the only team who gave us a proper beating in the Royal London, honest.

Will Ollie Robinson be allowed to play Tuesday? As the Test match finished 2 days early I don’t see why not.
