361 all out. Nice little partnership for the last wicket gets us 3 batting points.
Bean dropped by Orr off Robinsons first over.
C’mon Sussex!

Keep your feet firmly on the ground, don’t get carried away, but dare I suggest… there are early signs that Sussex CCC has turned the Championship corner after a series of dismal seasons?

7 wickets down great effort by Carson et al.
Your bowling looks much improved from last season. On the batting front it will be interesting what overseas batsman you bring in when Pujara is away with India for the WTC final and West Indies tour.

298 all out but not before their lower order whittled away at the deficit. We have a lead of 63 going into our second dig.
A little disappointing to allow them to get away at the end and pick up a bonus point.
Jack Carson 21-2-79-5

The next stage for the improving Sussex team is to be ruthless. How many times have we seen an opponent whack a load of important runs at the end of a first innings.
A great fifer for Carson.
Meanwhile, the present elephant in the room is the rain-sodden weather forecast for tomorrow. I will be surprised if any play occurs on day 4. A draw is imminent unless Sussex experience a batting collapse today.

Don't count your chickens... Here we go again. Batting collapse ahoy! Even 'save the day' Pujara is out. 66-5 - 129 runs lead.

In the case of Orr, who is a tremendous prospect and of whom I am a massive fan, to be run out backing up once is unfortunate, twice careless, but three times in five innings (plus a near miss earlier in today's innings) is inexcusable and suggests a major rethink is required in how he backs up. Things started to slip when we let their last wicket get away and significantly reduce what should have been a much greater first innings lead. A big test for our lower middle order. What should have been a match winning position is slowly deteriorating into one where we could be fortunate to escape with a draw.

Surely we have to sort the issues with the livestream soon. It's by far the worst of all the counties

Sussex has lost 9 wickets for 80 runs including 6 lbws. Can Carter and Crocombe get us over a 200 run lead?
126-9... 189 run lead.
At least, Farbrace is aware of the team's batting-collapse vulnerability and can focus on and improve it.

I said the other day you lot need other batsmen to step up when Pujara fails. I know Smith is coming for 3 games but after that you won’t have either of them as they will be playing test cricket.
I am sure Farbrace has got a international overseas batsman lined up to come in for a few games.
