Only 23 overs possible today before the rain came.
Sussex finish the day 97/0, 50 for Carter.

Looks a good 2nd XI on paper, Carter opening is interesting. Strikes me as he's seen an opportunity within the first XI to exploit and if he scores big runs in the 2s it'll put Clark under more pressure.

Yeah good to see 10 staffed players in the team. Would like to see Rogers and Tear batting higher up though.

It is very healthy to have a full 2nd XI of Sussex contracted players. Not that long ago the 2s were a mix of various players. A very young team too. Well done to Tear, Carter, Lion Cachet, and Lenham for getting 50s. Shame none of them could go on; however they are all short of competitive cricket. Now time for Karvelas, Hunt, Crocombe, to show they can push for 1st team selection.

1 every 9 overs and there is the possibility one of the no balls went for 4. I think youngsters will make mistakes.

So 11 no balls were bowled 6 to Dan Ibrahim who yes id agree needs to work on his action. Other than that you are always going to get a few in 96 overs.
