Sitting pretty at the top of Div 2 with three to go. Sussex have the winning momentum but Glamorgan have often been a bogey side for us.
Can’t think there’ll be any changes to the side unless Alsop hasn’t pulled up after injuring himself against Lancs.

With Carson bowling so many overs I think theres room for an extra bat instead of Crocombe but I think they like this formula so agree there wont be any changes.

Squad: Alsop Carson Carter Clark Coles Crocombe Haines FHP Hughes Hunt Ibrahim Robinson Simpson+* Unadkat At the moment, the team in effect assuming everyone is fit pretty much picks itself. The only two decisions that need to be made are firstly, do you persist with Clark? Secondly, in the absence of the all rounder Lamb through his unfortunate injury (which incidentally has caused a real imbalance in the side) is do you go with an extra bowler or batter? The first one is relatively simple, despite his indifferent form I suspect Clark has done enough to keep his place, particularly given he is an extra bowling option. The second not so straightforward, is do you go with Crocombe or Carter? Carson's ability to contribute with the bat has probably tipped the scales in Crocombe's favour. Barring injury to any of our first choice seamers, Hunt's race this season following his showing at Scarborough is probably run. Interestingly, Karvelas doesn't make the fourteen. Of course Farbrace could spring a surprise and go for the obvious replacement for Lamb, which would be Ibrahim. However, you can't help feeling his performances in the One Day Cup have probably cost him that opportunity.

Hoping for an unchanged team. Crocombe is getting there. His hostility offers something different. Clark can take encouragement for his closing out of the T20 game. So Hunt, Carter and Ibrahim to carry the drinks. Interesting that Ibrahim is in the mix. Not impossible he could get the nod ahead of Crocombe to stiffen up the batting.

Not a nice day for batting. In 5 of the 6 games that have started so far, the first wicket fell before 5 runs were on the board. Now we need to get Ingram out quickly.

Perfect day for Leicestershire to launch their paid streaming service I think a lot of them will be paid services next year, if we were asked too id rather pay an annual fee than a daily fee.

A good morning for Sussex (Yorkshire running through the Leicestershire batting aside).
Really pleased for Crocombe. The one fringe player from the One Day Cup who looked as though he had something to offer the first eleven.
Carlson as he always seems to do against Sussex, looking ominous.
