Three victories by an innings in a row.
Outstanding, thoroughly deserved and even if Yorkshire beat Glamorgan I am confident we will get the three points required to go up as worthy Division Two Champions in our final game.
Great morning for Sussex and for Henry Crocombe in particular. I am blowing my own trumpet here, but I did say out of all the fringe players used in the One Day Cup, he was the one who looked as though he could step up to the first eleven.
Having to work to get back into the side probably helped in his development. He looks a much improved bowler.

Get in. What a result, what a season . No Hughes, win by an innings anyway. Well done Farbrace and most of all well done the players. And for all us Sussex supporters, something major to celebrate. We deserve that. Make sure you get your champagne realab. That was a proper agreement. We are GOING UP.

Promotion and probably as champions - quite excellent.
Next week at Hove can rightly be a long celebration
Now let’s use this momentum as a springboard to stay in Division One next season.

Delighted for all the players and staff. I hope we can finish off with a good performance against Middlesex. Unlike others on here,I don't think we need to bring in any new big signings for next year. Trust the existing talent and work hard to get better. I hope the day never comes when we sign a player for 1 game only. Shouldn't be allowed and totally against my old fashioned spirit of cricket. Well done Sussex.

Truly Scrumptious! Still 40 behind (2nd innings) with only 4 wickets remaining. Surely, we can win this one and get promotion, where the Middlesex game will be the ultimate relaxfest. lab1, buying you that bottle of champagne will be one of the most enjoyable and pleasurable purchases I have ever made. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/scorecard/e-219033 Haha, yeah what a season. I had the faith but i did i believe it? Probably not quite to this level but i knew we had the quality and theres still so much room for improvement within the group weve got the at the moment. Potential to go far.

Fantastic result. Even better , won with 6 of the Covid Kids that so many people criticised. The youth policy is finally paying off after several tough years.
No disrespect to players like Pujara and Simpson who have played a massive part in this season success.

We balanced the books and made some shrewd moves on and off the field. The journey continues!

Fantastic! A thoroughly deserved promotion and hopefully we can get the 4 points needed for the title next week. We’ve played outstanding four day cricket this year, we’ve played aggressively always trying to win, and most importantly it seems every time the game was in the balance we won the next session comprehensively and took the game away from the opposition. Fantastic recruitment from Farbrace and what was very obviously a lot of hard work through the winter from the whole squad has paid off! What a season, well done all!

What an incredible season for Sussex?!
T20 Blast Semi-Finalists and likely Winners of Division Two with a very high number of convincing victories. Achieved by blending products of our own Academy with shrewd signings of more experienced domestic and overseas players. Under a brilliant coach, they played in the modern positive style with great skill and commitment.
Off the field, things seem to have also taken an upwards turn. The books will approximately balance for this year and the financial future looks better than for many years. There have been important changes in most of the senior staff, with key new people added from outside and some existing staff reassigned to more suited roles. (The club Chair, Jon Filby, deserves a lot of credit for his work over the past two years leading on this recruitment and supporting change.)

Life is full of irony. Warwickshire's underwhelming season puts Mark Robinson's position under threat
Warwickshire are set for a September performance review to decide whether they will keep their head coach after just one County Championship victory with one game to play this season.(Cricketer Magazine)

Well played guys look forward to doing the double over you lot next season! I am sure you will join me in congratulating Rory Burns and Surrey making a hat trick of Div 1 titles. The ECB stop our players playing for us and we lose loads to England but we still win it.
Great achievement first hat trick since Yorks in 1968.

Most of our best players have come through our youth academy I can list them all for you if you want. There's no question that Surrey has done a fine job of developing young players but you have taken Evans, Jordan and Topley from us before (and yes I know you reclaimed Jordan) and you have the financial muscle to do it again if you want to. Counties like ours operate on a different financial level which makes it increasingly tough to compete at the very top. For all that, congrats on another fine season. Three successive championships is an impressive achievenent. Please keep developing England players for the future.

Thanks square. Paul Farbrace said on a TMS podcast today Surrey produce players through their academy that play in their first team and then play for England. I hope you win the title yourselves next week. It will be interesting if you sign any players for next season.
The players we have signed from you all play white ball cricket and only Topley has played a couple of CC games.
