Two things from those cards, one, I thought Tom Haines was an opener? Slightly disappointed to find out he isn't, as I had high hopes that he'd become our first genuine home produced opening bat in years. Ah well, guess we'll just have to convert him, like Nash and Wells. Secondly, I didn't know Jonty Jenner bowled. What does he bowl?

My XII would be: Billings, Haines (c), Jenner (+), Doram, Rawlins, Oxley, Twine, Smith, Fazakerley, Rattle, Collard and Piper.

Wells has always been an opener as far as I'm aware JB, for the academy, seconds and firsts. He's in a bit of form at last too so you can cheer up on two fronts.

Wells has always been an opener as far as I'm aware JB, for the academy, seconds and firsts. He's in a bit of form at last too so you can cheer up on two fronts. I can definitely remember him batting at six or seven, and in the side primarily for his bowling. However, that may have just been for a brief period, as Robbo backs up your point, that he's always been an opener. Pretty certain I'm not mistaken though

England U19 I think he is referring to.

England U19 I think he is referring to. Those numb-nuts, what was that about five games, forget about it.

Nash: "It has taken me 150 games to get to number four in the order! As I have opened the batting all my life I felt quite nervous going in lower down but I am chuffed to bits.
He doesn't think he's a converted opener either JB so who knows what to believe. Guess when you've been doing it that long you're just an opener.

Cachopa took six wickets for East Grinstead against the development XI today. EG fielded a very strong side, the youngsters were on a hiding to nothing! Garton was the pick of the bowlers for the Dev XI.
