Emus like rain, reminds them of water. Two days of scattered showers and two days of sunny spells and cloud over the next four days where I live, Royston Vasey, but as we all know, that's a forecast - I think they use a crystal ball, may as *** well. Anywho, I reckon you've picked the team HH.

Perhaps the best answer is for anyone on the board who lives close to the ground - sort of a softandfluffyish person would do - to post with updates on what the weather is actually doing. Let's also hope that the improved ground drainage will stand up to the test of all the rain in between hours of play.,

I would agree with this side if Robinson is not fit, but Robbo will probably play Liddle instead of Yardy or Wells. If Robinson is fit, I'd still play Hatchett and leave Yardy out.

Meant to clear up and forecast is the vague 'sunshine and showers' but as previous posters say that is just a complete guess on forecasters part.

At 10am a brief shower has come and gone but potential rain is ever present over Hove. Also, a brisk wind in the air.Take the BBC Weather forecast with a huge pinch of salt. It's been rubbish recently. We'll be lucky to get much cricket today as the rain allegedly becomes more persistent as the day goes on. Already, the club twitter talks about a delayed start.Tuesday looks better though. There is a pitch inspection at 11am. twitter.com/sussexcccwww.bbc.co.uk/weather/2654710?day=0

Thanks fluffy and the club's Twitter account has just gone out on a limb to say: UPDATE: Play is due to start at 11.45am at Hove should there be no more rain. Lunch will be at 1.00pm and Tea at 3.40pm

I know there is some apprehension about the importance of the current round of matches, but think that the Sussex Cricket In The Community retweet may be going a bit far: Suicide Prevention @grassrootssp Sep 11 @sussexcitc FREE TRAINING: #Suicide Alertness in #EastSussex New dates added! bit.ly/GSPtrainingESX Pls RT

Scores from the bottom three's games a minute ago:
Worcs 110/3 (48.1 ov) V Durhm Hants 114/3 (45.3 ov) V Yorks Sssx 123/3 (31.3 ov) V Somst
The good news: we seem to be the more aggressive; the bad news is that Somerset have one more point.

Pretty even so far, our two class batters at the crease. A decent partnership now could set us up

I'm in a hotel in Thailand following the game - working, by the way, not holidaying.
171 for 6 made me feel gloomy. A hundred runs later, it seems altogether different.
Yes, yes, I'll shut up now before things go awry.

Good job we went with that extra batsman. Great recovery from these two and as things stand, we've stretched our lead over our rivals by two points

Great recovery from these two and as things stand, we've stretched our lead over our rivals by two points We always need an extra batsman and and extra bowler. If you're referring to Zaidi, it's worth pointing out that he'd scored only 190 runs before this match, including a century at Flatbatston.
