LW shown as captain this time. He won't play but I think as club captain he should travel with the team to all their games if he's able to. As long as he doesn't fly.

Shazhad is fit. Able's another matter. If Cachopa plays, I'll drink a bottle of red wine. Then again... Me, too. I'll drink one if Brown plays as well. And if they both play I shall drink two!

Doesn't look like a side that's gonna be around when they're giving out the prizes, and will it put bums on seats

Excellent news. Ross Taylor is to captain the T20 side until Luke Wright returns. Well done Davis and Wright for this decision. Something discussed about on this Board only last week. Let us hope this rise in station will kick start Taylor's average batting performances to date. "...head coach Mark Davis is keen to ease the pressure on the wicketkeeper who was only installed as vice-captain during the winter." Davis said: “Ross has played internationally and in the IPL so is vastly experienced in Twenty20 cricket. You need to be cool in your decision-making in Twenty20 and he is the ideal character for that."www.theargus.co.uk/sport/cricket/generalcricket/14505363.Taylor_to_captain_Sharks_in_T20_opener/Meanwhile, Luke won't be playing in the match even though Davis hoped he would after a fitness test. Even so, it is a good move Wright is a part of the squad. Wright decides when he is ready and fit - not Davis - which is how it should be. Return to the fray too soon and the back injury could keep re-occurring.

Let us hope this rise in station will kick start Taylor's average batting performances to date. Yes, I suggested that if Wright wasn't fit he should step up and take responsibility. Credit to him for doing so; it wasn't in the contract when he signed and it shows a strength of commitment which hasn't necessarily been evident in the way he has batted so let's hope it 'kick starts' his season, as you say.

Bowling looks ok, batting almost the best we can do and tail not too long but the inclusion of Cachopa a farce.
