What is it with Kent and rubbing players up the wrong way? Maybe this player has rubbed Kent up the wrong way.

Hmm. It's most likely an Aussie after the tri-series not playing CPL so that could be Faulkner.
Alternatively it's another kiwi via Wright or Taylor, so Elliott or Anderson?
We know it won't be a Sri-lankan.
Or it could be something completely random.

What is it with Kent and rubbing players up the wrong way? Maybe this player has rubbed Kent up the wrong way. Been let off with a final, final warning, it seems. Perhaps no surprise as the Kent 'attack' is toothless without him - Derbyshire at lunch 421-5. It would have been ironic if Coles had been sacked just as Rabada arrives to give Kent potentially its most potent opening attack since the days of Dean Headley and Martin 'Beer Monster' McCague (who could have drunk Coles under the table any day, btw). Still think he'll go at the end of the season because he's deeply unhappy at being treated like a naughty teenager every time he has a night out and isn't tucked up in bed by 11 pm. But it looks like Sussex will be facing both Coles and Rabada in the power play and at the death on Thursday evening. He'll have his gander up, too. So Sussex be warned!

Can't see that Sussex would want to take a risk with Coles. We've rehabilitated players with cricketing problems in the past, but persistent behavioural issues are not so easy for the coaches to work on!

Three good omens for Sussex this morning - Coles out for Kent, Jordan released for Sussex and the arrival of Kulasekara.Latter could be useful; Kent weren't expecting to be facing him and so their analysts won't have spent the week poring over videos of him and working out a way to hit him out of the park!

I thought we said we were signing an all rounder? By Sussex standards he is! Jordan and Kulasekera at 7 and 8 is Bradmanesque compared to Beer and Shahzad, who lasted four balls between them in those positions last Sunday.

Kula Shaker's batting record in the different forms of cricket is not very impressive: Let's hope his bowling lives up to his past form, otherwise we will have to have a word with his mum, Hayley Mills.
