Surely it benefits Kent to prepare a nice slow pitch to help nulify their lack of pace? (Rabada excepted of course)

As our friends on the WAK message board are all too aware Kent have made failing to score off free hits into a sort of running joke!

Nash has bowled brilliantly, clever use of width to stop Kent targetting the short boundary. But wtf is the point of Briggs? OK, bad drop by Salt off his bowling. But it's absolute in-the-slot rubbish from him and he's only been trusted with two over by Wright. Again. And you can see why: the batsmen know exactly where he's going to put it every ball.
Good from Kulasekera, who makes sure Salt's dropping of Billings wasn't costly.
At 130-4 after 16 now down to the top pair of Mills and Jordan to finish it off well and keep them down to 170-175, which is emminently gettable on a great pitch with a short boundary on one side.

What does Briggs have to do to get dropped? Well he has been dropped, from all three formats. The question is how the heck did he inveigle his way back in? 3-16 in 14 overs v Kent seconds this week is the answer. But as Wright clearly has no confidence in him and seldom trusts him to bowl his full four overs, his recall is utterly baffling. Briggs apart and given that Jordan was a little below his best and didn't quite get his usual quota of yorkers in, that is probably as good as Sussex have bowled with a white ball all season. Mills, Kula Shaker and Nash all brilliant.

Just come in and heard Bruce Talbot describing the players coming off for "too much bright sunlight". Has this happened before at Canterbury? Bizarre!!
And how long has Kent charged £30 a head to watch a T20?

Light is shining through some particularly poorly placed windows. It needs to pass as facing anyone who isn't a spinner with that in your eyes would be pretty dangerous

A 20 minute delay for "good light".
Good to hear Bruce Talbot talk on the BBC Comms without wearing the Sussex CCC PR strait-jacket. He does actually criticise and constructively so too. He even mentions how poorly the side are playing, at present. How refreshing. A shame Bruce you don't express this constructive criticism in your match reports.
There is mention of Murray Goodwin and it appears that although Murray would like to return as the club batting consultant this is highly unlikely. Talbot hints at the "severe financial constraints" some counties are facing. So, the Sussex austerity continues and may continue for an unlimited time. This whole saga has become a farce after the promises made by the club at the end of last season. There is still £750,000 left from the Spen Cama Legacy; the club has no debt; our inconsistent batting remains and is primarily responsible for us dropping 12 places in the county pecking order to 15th. What is more important? Vying for trophies or pulling up the financial drawbridge when we still have a substantial sum of cash?
Now, another delay, caused by the sun reflecting off the SKY camera gantry. No wonder people don't turn up to watch cricket.

This one is even worse. Right behind where the ball would be released....
