And with that draw goes our chances of promotion this season. You only win promotion if you're good enough.

Come on guys. Where on earth did you take our team last night for a pub crawl? Must have been a heavy session to get them to amicably agree to a quite absurd contrived target of 351 off 75 overs.
Sadly my team have probably the worst batting line up in the Division, with none of the top six in any kind of regular form. Any occasional decent team score this season has been achieved through slow accumulation of runs. Accordingly, the agreed target was absolutely baffling.......giving us absolutely no chance of winning and merely handing you the potential opportunity of a win.
Complete and utter madness......I didn't expect our stand-in captain 'Colonel' Mustard to be quite so naive.

On a positive note Sakande showed promise, quite lively when the ball was new-ish
Maybe the 351 came from ease of scoring in first innings?

And with that draw goes our chances of promotion this season. We aren't good enough and don't deserve to get promoted.

I'll go back to a comment early on about Beer. He deserves a place. Poor Danny Briggs, what's that 8 wickets in 6 CC games? Either he's not up to it or he's very unlucky? He can't keep getting in as the best No9/10 in England can he? I feel for him, I do. It's now time to change things. Beer must be given a similar run. He's shown at Arundel he can get wickets when it turns. And don't say it was the poorest SA A team. They were good enough for some to say Sakande was good and Rawlins showed his class. You can't have it all ways. Can only be as good as the opposition. 3 seamers, 2 spinners. Wiese or Jordan will have to miss out. I said before they are picking on who earns the most. Has to stop, pick teams to win. Also, wickets at Hove can't be seamers paradise, it's too dry, making them dry enough to turn. Not dead boring.

Yes, if it's a similar track, I'd bring Beer in for Wiese. Wiese only bowled four overs yesterday, so Van Zyl, who strangely didn't bowl at all, can cover those. Incidentally, does anyone know how our bowlers, including Beer, fared for the seconds yesterday?

I've heard that next season there is a plan to play overnight matches which start at midnight and finish at 7 am. I think they plan to play without any floodlights and a ball that glows in the dark. That's not what I heard. What I heard is that they plan to continue with this season's policy of playing four rounds in September which start at 10.30 and finish at 5.30, with the playing days being Tuesday to Friday or Monday-Thursday. Thus excluding the majority of working people and schoolkids from being able to attend at all. Wooooosh!!!

We have nothing to lose by giving Beer a run, simply because Briggs won't take wickets. It's just obvious and needs to happen.
Should have won that game really. Unbelievably one sided set-up in our favour - couldn't agree more Glosexile.
We need to shake up our attack for the next game. The two containing bowlers who the captain didn't want to throw the ball to when we needed wickets have to drop out. Beer and the young quick who England rate more than Sussex, the one who's playing for an excellent Lions side against one of the best international sides in the world, and taken two wickets in the process, need to play. If they do, we will win more games.
