Plenty of safe picks in cricket that have moved up a level and failed, Robson I feel is one of them. Like his brother, over rated. Now where's he these days, haven't seen him in the Middx team recently?

I digress, Salt can do no worse.
Beer can improve the team and give the attacking option lacking.

You don't need to convince me mate, I think that's what the management think about Salt.  I'd play all the academy lads I gave a pro contract to, thought that was the point.  They're the ones I'd be giving extended runs to, all outside signings would have more to prove for me.  Sussex do it the opposite and now poor old Whittingham might not get another game after bowling four expensive overs.  That's what happened last time, hopefully that's not on his mind.  Maybe he'll get a go second innings but he'll need to improve fast under this management.  And Garton, who should also be playing.

Anyway, as a warm accepting person I don't like to moan too much and you can't really argue with doing well.  We're well on top here and after looking at both competition tables we're actually doing better than I thought.   An attack of Jordan, Archer, Whittingham, Garton and Beer would be more threatening though.  It would also bat just as deep.  It would also be more expensive no doubt but who cares?  If it is and the negative (economy) outweighs the positive (wickets), change it.  And there's my whole point in a nutshell - try the homies first.
