You missed a Wright out there I believe Loco. In the last two or three seasons, Wright has improved his consistency and convertion rate massively. I was almost expecting a big ton when I'd saw he'd got to 50 odd - he didn't disappoint.

He's having a helluva good season. He passed 1000 runs in all competitions last night - 448 runs in the T20 and 580 runs @ 64 in the LVCC.
Next best is Joyce with 918.
Nobody else comes near and Wright has scored close to double the number of runs managed by any other Sussex batsman :
Nash 563 Brown 537 Wells 525 Hamilton-Brown 460 Yardy 264

I'm totally convinced that he should move up the order and bat at three in the championship He has the technique and the discipline to bat there, and generally goes on to post a big hundred. If he no longer has aspirations to bowl in any meaningful way, let him re-invent himself as a genuine top order batsman

Three maybe a bit ambitous but I think he will definitely move to number four when Joyce retires.

So, so impressed with Luke Wright this season, in all formats, he's been a shining light

www.espncricinfo.com/county-cricket-2014/content/story/773019.htmlGood article on his thoughts on England. Glad he's come to terms with not being in the side - from the evidence it's helped get him in great form. It feels like that happens for lots of players both previously on the county circuit and now on the internation Twenty20 circuit.

Well done Luke - much deserved. Both on and off the field he matures and is, perhaps, the most popular of the players amongst the youngsters. This award will only enhance his standing. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/29293691

Wright's contract ends next season and not only is the Benefit much deserved, but hopefully, just hopefully, this may also tempt Luke to re-sign.
If the Benefit is as well organised and run as Mike Yardy's this season, Luke should be looking at a handsome pot by the end of 2015.
My view is, if you want to keep Wright, which is essential, offer him the potential captaincy after Joyce or at least the vice-captaincy.
