Wouldn’t it be good if we were to sign an exciting player like Cuckfield have, instead of the likes of Sharma or Bruce. Boy could we do with a boost

Discussion. Is Dizzy talking to Cricket Australia and he will accept one of their players for the 1st half of the season, that is not involved in the World Cup, to give the player practise in English conditions or Steve Smith who will need the practise. CA would also cover some of the wages.
This is only an idea?

Really don’t understand Dizzy’s stance at Sussex When he took over at Yorkshire, he recruited from outside in both his first two seasons, and always had an overseas player. He also operated a squad of 26-27 players, not a paltry 19
I’m all for producing our own cricketers, and I think we do pretty well on that score, but if Yorkshire needed to recruit, with all the home grown talent at their disposal, how do we expect to do it? Fair enough, we probably can’t match Yorkshire, or some of the other Test grounds, but neither are we the paupers of the championship When Dizzy was appointed, I thought we were finally starting to show some ambition, after years of neglect So far, it’s just been more of the same

Why the obsession with having such a large squad Jonboy? We won the county championship with 18 players! It surely about quality not quantity!

I wouldn’t disagree with that, but the demands of challenging on three fronts these days, means that I don’t think 18 players is now sufficient To my mind, 22 would be more realistic for a county of our size You are right though, quality over quantity |

Ishant Sharma won't be available for IPL cover. Delhi signed him for 110L in IPL.
Jordan passed over earlier (might be first round only).

So it seems we’ll only be without Jofra for the IPL which is good news although Jordan has a knack of going later as a replacement..

Heard a rumour that we were looking to sign Jason Holder, unfortunately he’s going elsewhere ( Northants? )
Gives me some hope that we are at least looking to recruit.
