Hmm, a left arm seamer, well it does add a bit of variety, but not for early season, when it was most needed.

What is known about him apart from the BBC Website comment, "Mir Hamza dismissed Moeen Ali, Alex Hales, Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow when England faced Pakistan A in 2015." I don't feel overwhelmed by this signing. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/47069993PS: The imp in me finds the press release 'tres amusant'. It's the 'fill in the gaps' one depending which overseas country the player comes from. He said: "I'm very excited to have the chance to play county cricket with a great club like Sussex, following in the footsteps of ... legends like... and...". (but missing the GOSBTS) PPS: The fill in the gaps continue this time from our Club Coach whether it be Robinson/Davis/Gillespie about any O/S player who has just signed for Sussex. “He’s a (right-arm) left-arm swing (spin) bowler who has performed very well when opportunities have been there for him for his country. "He will add to the depth of our seam (spin) bowling unit at the club. He will no doubt have a positive impact.” #gosbts (Thank goodness the meme has returned). As I say my imp is in control this morning. sussexcricket.co.uk/news/mir-hamza-join-sussex-nine-matches

Seems to have a decent first class average but I shall reserve judgment till I’ve seen him play in English conditions.

The squad was a couple of decent players light, so I think I’m happy with the signing Still work to do though

Good morning. (weirdo)
Know nothing of this fella cricket wise but I'm glad he's moved on from hate preaching. Apparently he started out as a right armer but had trouble gripping the ball. No seriously, an impressive 1st class average. Hopefully he won't keep out our other left arm quick, who criminally didn't feature at all last season, really.
Can't see us adding anyone else to the squad, which means we have 20 players I think, with probably three unavailable early season, all quicks.
So what the hell is the team gonna be for the first game at Northants?
Wells Salt VZ Finch Wright Brown Weise Robinson Briggs Garton Hamza
That's what I reckon it'll be rather than my choice, which differs slightly. If Garton can't get into this team early season he never will.

Hamza doesn’t arrive until later in the year, May I think Call me a cynic, but I would not be surprised to see VZ unavailable, despite the encouraging reports Wouldn’t he be playing in SA to get some cricket, after missing practically a whole season at Sussex Maybe he is, but I’ve not heard about it.

Have heard whispers a new bowler has been signed. Will wait until the official announcement but has played for England, Essex and Hampshire previously. Not had much luck with injuries but will hopefully be a great addition if he stays fit.

We are really short of bowlers (and batsmen) and when he was fit, Topley was pretty decent Does it make sense though, to bring in someone with his injury record, given the way things turned out for Mills? Also, we are pretty well stocked with left armers, with Mills, Garton and the new overseas, all on the staff, plus Sheffield who is playing in the current friendly

Topley doesn’t just come with an injury record but a lot of baggage too. He lost the plot when he wasn’t selected for Hants in the RLOD final last year. He was subsequently asked to leave after throwing his winning squad medal in the bin!
Not a team man and don’t even get me started on his dad.

As far as I’m aware he’s signed a contract already. Kinda hoping I’ve been mid-informed though.

If it’s true, and given what happened when we signed Mills, this would be one hell of a risk
