I'm not going to engage with your views, whch needless to say I find abhorent. But, with the moderator's indulgence, I am going to correct the multiple inaccuracies in that post.
"Do you not see that there is a fundamental difference between saying ' get off the pitch because I don't like your fatness' and saying 'get out of my country, this is a white culture and and you don't belong here because you are the wrong colour and black people only belong in black countries'?" How excessively presumptuous.
No. It was an explanation of the difference between racism and 'fatism' in response to a poster who suggsted they were the same.
Maybe he just doesn't like Kolpaks. Ban him for a year? Get a grip.
Perhaps Overton doesn't like the kolpaks in the Somerset team but that has got nothing to do with his racist abuse of Zaidi. (i) Overton told Zaidi to "eff off back to your own country'. There is no country called 'Kolpak' (ii) Zaidi is NOT a kolpak. He is a UK citizen.
To answer your question FB, after the initial gagging from a very busy moderator, it's no big deal. I'd have told young Overton that I'm going back to my own country once I'm bored of nailing his mum. Credit to Zaidi for not giving a s**t.
He didn't say he didn't give a ***t. He said the comment was "the usual". In the context of being a British-Muslim in 2015, "the usual" means being subjected to casual racism on a daily basis. Just because Zaidi is used to such racism does not mean, as you claim so dismissively, that he isn't hurt by it
For the record, Mr Mod, no posts were offensive or rude, or whatever you listed on your puny list. Borderman was typically righteous and condemning, and I was typically, RFawden. Who cares?
We should all care about racism in cricket and in every other walk of life. Racism is despicable and has to stamped out wherever it rears it's ugly head. I'm sure every other poster on this board will join me in condeming it. Nothing to do with being righteous and everything to do with decency and respect for our fellow human beings.

I feel we should all express indignation when an inappropriate apostrophe rears its head. I was always taught "It's with an apostrophe means 'it is.' " Beware the predictive text!

It is ugly head, that would have been my second line to Craig Overton after he'd viciously racially assaulted me, boo-hoo . What a bizarre way of not engaging with someone's views Borderman. The bottom line is, we have two completely different views on what racism is. Yours is a wet, lefty, puny, cry-baby, high-horsie, protesting, striking minge-bag of a view, and mine isn't. But don't worry, we're both wrong. I was once told in Australia to f**k off back to England, and was then called a Pom - whatever that is. I wasn't as quick-witted as I am now so I just said, alright mate.

And yet he says he doesn't mind a sledge?! So it's OK to say to someone that their parentage is dubious but not to say get back to your own country? What if Overton had said that to an Aussie, would that be racist? Would that be punished? I don't think so. By making a big deal of this it is drawing more attention to our different coloured skins. He's been punished, move on!

And it gives the lie to the usual excuse which bigots come up with in these cases of 'they don't mind, they know it's only banter, the only people who get upset are wet, lefty, puny, cry-baby, commie minge-bags'. Zaidi: "This sort of incident in sport does a lot of harm. There is absolutely no room for it in society, in entertainment, in the media and in sport. For the sake of the game of cricket and for the spirit of the game he should apologise to me. Look at Andrew Gale. He apologised, but Overton hasn’t and he’s being selected by the ECB for overseas tours...I cringe to imagine what he will say to Pakistani players at any level if he plays against them in future. If I saw him again I would probably let him know what I feel about him...I was fuming and absolutely livid. You cannot just do things like that...I don’t know what sort of hatred he had inside him to say what he did.” Why has the ECB/Somerset not sent him on a racism awareness course? Instead, they send him on an England Performance Programme to South Africa while he is still in the middle of serving a ban from English domestic cricket which means he will miss Somerset's first match next April.

Mr Zee aiming to cap a wonderful tournament by being the star turn in the BPL final today for Victorians v Bulls.
Victorians mssing Andre Russell (gone back to West Indies) and Shoaib Malik (injured) so Darren Stevens makes a rare appearance - not a bad 12th/13th man to have up your sleeve.
Zaidi opens the bowling and takes 1-15 in the power play.

Zaidi run out for 16 but Victorians win a thriller off the last ball.
Man of the tournament and he now moves on to the inaugural edition of the PSL in Feb.
Can see him getting a gig with Essex. Bopara is out there in Bangladesh and will no doubt put in a good word...

Is he after a contract? Zum are looking for a spinner. I wonder, without sarcasm, what sort of fuss would be made if Overton had said the same to a white Kolpak or 'local'. And what if he said "I consider Kolpaks and the sorts to be illegal overseas players and I strongly disagree with it," in his defense.

Not kolpak.just like oaferton.....so his statement is xenophobic and anti immigrant. I suspect Zaidi has only responded to questions, rather than piped up.
