2 things, Tredwell won't be coming. The money has been spent! 2nd point, quality spinner? They've all been found to chuck! That'll lessen the ability of them to turn it at right angles if they ever return to CC? With that potential line up I suggest a proper spinner will play as the team should have enough bowlers to keep it tight? And batsmen to get the runs? Beer gets my vote, always did ahead of Zaidi who was picked for his batting rather than his bowling. In jonboys team bowling will be needed to temp the opposition to chase the 600+ totals his team will get! It will also put pressure on everyone to perform. How interesting it will be if Yardy isn't selected or Nash doesn't get runs! Will the captain and coach have the balls to make those type of decisions, leave out 'stars'? I have my doubts. I hope to be proven incorrect.

A sporting headline from the 'Unofficial Sun'.
HELLS BELLS WELLS FELLS A NEW 2 YEAR SUSSEX CONTRACT
Let's hope he can carry on his form from where he left it last season.

You lot had better hope you dont get any injuries with the batsmen. Yardy is past it but would do ok however, RHB and Machan are useless not Div 1 standard they wouldnt even get in our team in Div 2!!

I couldn't hear you from the deep dark depths of division two! See you again if Surrey ever manage to make it back up to division one! Enjoy division two cricket next season.

I suspect Surrey, Lancs and Essex are the only counties realistically in the race for promotion next season. The other six will all take points from each other but have such obvious shortcomings - whether in batting (Derbys/Glos/Northants) or bowling (Kent/Glamorgan) or both (Leics) - that it's hard to see anything other than a gulf between the top three and the rest. That said, your post was pretty graceless and undignfied, Steve. We thought you were better than that!

Every year Surrey and Essex are hotly tipped for promotion and every year they fail to get promoted why should 2015 be any different?

Good news about Wells signing a new contract. Hopefully Beer, Hatchett and Piolet will follow suit. Are Brown and Jackson contracted for 2015? If so does anyone know when he signed a contract extension? I don't remember seeing anything announced

This is why we need another batsman in the squad rather than bowling all-rounders.
