Tom Clarke bowling. Brown trying to buy a wicket? This is so frustrating.

I think Travis Head should be given the captaincy immediately he arrives the sooner the better

I think Travis Head should be given the captaincy immediately he arrives the sooner the better If Brown had Jordan, Archer or Briggs to throw the ball to, it might be an easier task to be skipper. With this bowling attack, I'm frankly not sure who Brown can turn to when things aren't going too well and one of your frontline seamers is misfiring.

A repeat performance of the first session.
Sussex came out and dominated early on getting Glamorgan to 179-6, but then capitulated once more to allow Glamorgan back in the game.
Question: Why are Sussex unable to hold on to a dominating position? Why do they give it away and hand it back to their opponent and... so quickly? Where is the club's ruthlessness and determination to keep on being domineering?
There was that one crucial Robinson over where there appeared to be two tough slip chances to Garton and Clark that weren't taken. From that moment, Sussex lost their way and Glamorgan came back strongly.
Such a shame.

I’m a big fan of Garton and after his fantastic season last year I thought he would push on this year but apart from the first warm up game he’s been disappointing and appears to have lost his rhythm completely.

George Garton is a good player and important for the future of Sussex cricket; as long as he can stay fit. It is the responsibility of the skipper to take him off when he is bowling rubbish.

7th wicket partnership is broken by Meaker at last. Let's hope van der Gugten and Hogan don't run amok now like they did at Headingley last week.

Top batting by the openers. Glamorgan bowling poor, but you can only play what is served up. Well done Thomason and Haines.

A good start from Sussex, followed by a case of once again letting the momentum slide and not applying pressure. Brown must learn from this and the last match. All in all though, a good performance from Ollie and young Carson, with Crocombe also showing promise.
Once again a more than solid start from Haines & Thomason. Good day. Honours fairly even, or us ahead so far?

Most pleasing aspect was the Sussex opening partnership. I reckon we nicked Day 1... thanks to them.

Good day apart from rubbish bowling from Garton.

Once again, I’m thinking “we need the next session to go well”. Even if it goes well, I’ll be thinking the same at lunchtime.

Good day apart from rubbish bowling from Garton. I’ve heard on the grapevine Garton has picked up an injury, don’t know what but apparently he didn’t come out after tea. That could explain the wayward bowling.

The live-stream link for Day 2: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhu_6d4-dosSussex: 130-1
edit: Sussex batsmen have "absolutely" bossed the morning session. Haines is a revelation this season. van Zyl finds his form where his injured knee seems fully healed .Just the one wicket of Thomason. One couldn't have asked for more. Sussex: 211-1
