What is the point of playing Archer if we are not allowed to bowl him FFS?

Who is captaining Sussex Ben Brown or the ECB? Who pays Archer and Robinson wages Sussex or the ECB? As it is Sussex who foot the bill for Archer and Robinson it should be up to the club when he bowls and they should not be dictated to by the ECB! This ECB demand could cost Sussex any chance of winning the game as we have handed Kent the initiative. I am deeply unimpressed and dissatisfied. Without the counties there would be no England team. Sussex don't pay for Archer, it's the other way round. The counties have always worked for the ECB, in modern times at least. The real issue is, if Archer is under restriction, why would you only pick four bowlers? It's absurd. If he isn't, which he will be, you haven't bowled your best bowler enough. Either way, it lands at the management and captain's door. They've been absolutely stupid one way or another. The reporter will have been told not to ask, and as he works for Sussex Secret Services CC, he won't. Badly run club in every way these days. Secretive and incompetent in management. I blame Andrew, he's a closed shop and a total money man. He ain't a cricket man and he ain't a Sussex man. Dear God🤦♂️ Any excuse to have a pop, thought you’d be happy finally as we’ve got a team full of youngsters. Sussex Secret Services CC? No, part of the media team at Sussex County Cricket Club as far as I’m aware. Been told not to ask? I doubt it very much. Following on from your excellent Homey Haters CC as you tried to label them previously...well it was ridiculous at the time and looks even more ridiculous now. And because you think the media team have been told not to ask questions about why Archer didn’t bowl more, that makes us badly run 🤷♂️ Garton’s bowled plenty of overs but still you’re not happy. |

when Rawlins bowls. They continue to boss the game.

If there are ECB protocols in place, surely a little transparency would be a pleasant gesture. Fans and members are the lifeblood of the game. Really good to know if the Captain / Coaches/ Managements hands are tied. Would be great to have the chance to win a game we were ahead in. Fear that is slipping away. |

Irrespective of the Archer mystery, Brown has not managed this well. Rawlins before Carson? Bring back Garton who has been expensive?

What an excellent session of cricket.
The Archer mystery. Bowling change mysteries.Robinson getting angry. Brown getting agitated.Umpores upset.Nice scalp for Carson.Dropped slip catch.
All very frustrating for Sussex supporters.
Take the lads out for a quick beer later Brown, few songs and get the bonding up.
Looking forward to the management summary later. Let's hope they don't bottle it again like last night. That would just be plain rude and disrespectful.
