Not a great session for Sussex.
A lot of why's and a few what's?
Why didn't Archer bowl?
If he was injured, why was he still on the field?
Why go into the game with just three seamer's if there is a doubt over Archer's fitness or how many overs he was going to bowl?
Why is Garton so erratic and expensive?
Why bowl Rawlins ahead of your first choice spinner Carson and give him over three times as many overs?
Why didn't Umpire Lloyd give Leaning out caught behind?
Why do we still drop catches at important moments of the match?
Why time and again can't we press home winning positions?
What will Salisbury serve up in his post match interview (been less than convinced with his offerings after the Northants game and yesterday's play)?
What a difference it would have been if Leaning had been given out and Thomason had held the catch - 109 ahead with the top five out. A full day tomorrow and a good first session and it could have still been possible to win the match.
What next for Sussex with the prospect of no Robinson for much of the remainder of the red ball season? I cannot see where the next win is going to come from with an inexperienced bowling attack, supplemented by Meaker, Claydon and the unpredictable and expensive Garton?
Our early season promise seems to be dwindling away.

According to Adrian Harms Jofra has a sore elbow which is why he didn’t bowl and won’t bowl tomorrow either. I think it’s gone on long enough now to realise that rest isn’t helping and surgery may be the answer.

Salisbury looked stressed in his interview. Archer shouldn't be on the field if he is not fit. There is a disjoin somewhere. Brown thinking Archer can bowl? They only had 6 hours to get this clear. The sun shines out of Carson's rear end for Salisbury. Fair enough, but why does Brown bowl Rawlins before him. I see cracks appearing, hopefully these can be filled quickly. Please sort it out asap.

Weather looks iffy at best. This game has had its ups and downs and looks likely to end in a draw.

Possibly the best result considering the dramas and strange goings on of the last couple of days.

Let's hope the rain stays away. This could be a very exciting game, if Kent set Sussex a chaseable total. Archer has his feet up. Quite right in the circumstances. Just waiting for a blast with the new ball from Robinson. In the meantime Rawlins bowling tat.

Given that this a game between the bottom two teams, you would have thought that getting a result would be a priority. Or, are both teams resigned to not qualifying as one of the top two really?

And it looks like the rain is going to kill off any chance of an exciting run chase.

Is it my imagination, but has Sussex given up the ghost on this match because Archer cannot bowl and are therefore playing for a draw thanks to rain.
Kent have not only vigorously wrestled this game back, but are worthy winners based on this second innings.
As for exciting run chases, no thank you very much. Let's get the draw and be damned with this bizarre match.

I refuse to swear at the Kent brainless management.
