It's Thomas actually and I'll thank you not to be so presumptuous. Rude.
I don't think Root will step down but I'm as sure as s**t on a stick that Silverwood will. That or be pushed. Hopefully that moron Giles will go too. Dull b*****d. Talking of dull b*****s, I've been watching the build up to these matches and it's resulted in me missing the first ten minutes of play most nights because of that dullard Cook. My god that moron is dull. That man should not be talking about cricket in public. And Ali ain't much better.
Dull morons.

Time to permanently drop Hameed, Burns and Crawley and give someone new like Tom Haines and Rob Yates a chance next summer.

Yep, Hameed can hold a bat but he can't pick one up. Back to Burns and Crawley on the merry-go-round.
Got lucky last night. So did England.

Playing on the greenest wicket I’ve ever seen in Australia with cloudy overheads and we leave out our greatest seam bowler of all time? The muddled thinking continues.

Get the fixtures out tomorrow. Anything to deflect attention on Ashes shambles. The entire ECB board need to be sacked tomorrow and the Hundred competition ditched altogether. That is the main cause of this Ashes shambles.

I've stopped watching the final session. Far too depressing and, above all, soo predictable. Presently, 107-7 from 68-0. edit: Now all out for 124!!! England 56-10. Lost by 146 runs. England's worst 10-wicket collapse against Australia since 1948.

Well, that was a devastating and embarrassing watch and clearly there needs to be sweeping changes pretty much everywhere, starting with coach and batting coach - I've no idea what Thorpe is telling Burns and Pope but it can't be good. Especially Pope. Then there's the county structure change that many are talking of. Agnew or someone even saying franchise the Championship. That'd please CP.
On the plus side, I've heard the drinking culture is back and they're all a bunch of p**s heads like the good old days. So every cloud...

If England are to be successful again the England selectors need to realise that Lancashire (Anderson and Buttler), Notts (Broad and Hameed) Surrey (Burns and Pope), Warwickshire (Woakes) and Yorkshire (Root, Malan and Bairstow) are not the only counties. Someone needs to point out that there are thirteen other counties to select players from!

Sussex isn’t doing too badly, 2 centrally contracted players and 2 currently playing for England in Barbados.
Haines probably not far off a call up too.
