This time Alsop is the victim after a superb 99 run stand with Pujara.
Clark must now keep the momentum going.

What happened to Sarro then CP? Surely we haven't judged him on a couple of games, like we did H-P? Sussex above anyone these days should know that. We could have got rid of Haines when he was 20 odd too, he hadn't done much. Plus, I don't know if anyone has noticed, we're a little short of quicks right now.

Sarro was only on a short-term contract I think last season, we’ve not releases him, he just hasn’t been offered a longer term one like others. I’m sure we’ll see him this summer.

and Clark. The strongest position Sussex has been in this season.

38 runs needed off the first 7 overs on day 3. Pujara looks a class act. Stunning catch by Potts to dismiss Clark. Alsop lbw looked high.

They're all on short term contracts at first Ash so it's a releasing, of course it is, and it's poor. Should not happen to a young man who's presumably been at the club through the age groups. Who is making these premature decisions? Is it Gordy's man? He's apparently doing everything else. Zero point in releasing a lad when he's 20. Absolutely zero.

Two consecutive excellent days cricket by us. Not said that many times in the dark days of the last 3 years. I knew Pujara could bat but he is absolute quality. Superb ton and he never gave a chance. Was a joy to watch him today. Pure class. Reminded me of Muzza in his prime. Can't get a better compliment than that. We need to finish em off now😁👍🤞

Worried a little bit about the umpires; too many dodgy LBWs for both sides. If there is any doubt don't give it. |
