How much do you need to raise anyway? How much more than Brooks, Burrows, Stewart, Crane's wages for however long they were/are here do you need to sign Ishant for two months?

I think the bowling attack looks very different with Robinson, Garton and Hudson-Prentice.

Sussex almost certainly following on now that Rizwan is out as Lenham, Brooks, Finn and Hunt are not going to score 92 runs between them.

Sussex lose 5-38. 3 in 4 balls for Hayden Kerr. Absolutely pathetic from Sussex. CEO, Director of Cricket and the two coaches need to be sacked at the end of the season.

To lose wickets quickly at the end is disappointing, but the fault in this innings is, for once, with the openers. On an easy track 127 for 2 would have given us a chance of saving the game whereas 27 for 2 puts a lot of pressure on the others.

Haines deserves to be shot and fined two weeks wages for the shot he got out to in the first innings. Bloody awful! Apart from 243 at Derby he has done nothing this season. Is this why Derbyshire didn't enforce the follow on? wisden.com/matches/scorecard/210423/derbyshire-v-sussex-at-derby-lv=-insurance-county-championship-14-17-apr-2022

With under 5 sessions left the game could easily be drawn, we just needed to bat out time and add runs where we could, be sensible, have a game plan. We hadn’t even batted 100 overs so could have added battings points. It can still be saved if Sussex can be bothered, can they though? note to Liquidskin, had to edit this post as I see above Derby didn’t enforce the follow on, which I had assumed was a given!

If Derbyshire declare overnight I am 100% certain Sussex will lose as Sussex lack the gohones to bat out an entire day.

I tend to agree with you. If Derbyshire can gain a lead of 350 either by tonight or first thing tomorrow and then declare, I doubt if Sussex can hold out over 3 sessions for a draw.
If we had Pujara batting we might have had a chance.
Let us see. Fingers crossed and all that.

Just some positivity would be nice rather the endless doom and gloom.
