So we haven't signed an OS bowler. We've had two weeks but no, not important. It should be Ishant or someone instead of Brooks. How much extra would that really be? Especially in comparison to the ridiculous amount of cash we must have thrown at having Khan rock up and do sod all for 3 or 4 T20s.
Cannot see us winning a game without at least one bowler of Robinson or Ishant's quality. Andrew & Greenfield do not care about this form, in case anyone was in any doubt.

Totally agree, although I don’t think someone like Ishant would be available this side of the India test, or were you just looking for an announcement?

S&F ahead of the game as usual - you don't read other posts do you Wicket Wicket. It's the first one.
There's some strange comments on that twitter team news, things like 'no Rashid Khan' and 'can't see many runs' - I thought people on here were stupid.
Anyway, morning friends. Ash, I don't think Ishant is in the India team. He's good in England and played well for us a few years ago, so I reckon he's a good pick. Unless he's been called up late.
I'm very surprised there aren't more people up in arms about not employing an OS bowler over these last two weeks, Ishant or anyone. We need one so badly, it wouldn't cost much more than Brooks and it wouldn't cost anywhere near as much as Khan & Co in T20.
I think you people should be ashamed of yourself for not being as incandescent as I am about it.
CP, there's half a season to play yet. 7 games isn't it? If we won 5 of them we would be there or there abouts.

Ls, Always known you live in an alternative universe. Words like Brian Owen, The Argus and further news of Tom Clark's injury does not appear in the top post, but perhaps, in your universe, this article is already crystal clear. Let me know the secret to your psychic powers. The all-rounder suffered a hamstring injury playing for the 2nd XI against Essex last week. Clark skippered the side and scored a century as they shared an exciting draw in Billericay. But the quest to get him time in the middle before Derbyshire’s visit to Hove appears to have backfired.
Owen makes a valid point and offers yet another example of how the Sussex management are not on a good roll, at present. Regular mistakes or just bad luck is becoming a theme. While all county clubs suffer from player injuries and why a large squad is essential if you wish to be competitive, as I keep repeating, injuries amongst the youngsters are more prevalent as their young physiques attempt to adapt to the rigours of professional cricket. Jofra Archer is a prime example. Some make it through this phase, others do not. Matt Machan being a typical example of the latter.

Was really hoping we'd win the toss & bat first for once. Think we need it with this attack. Gotta get that big gun out at the top. Crocombe gets 4for in the last game... so where's Crocombe? He got top order important breakthroughs too. Where's the logic?

Sean the Hunter Hunt strikes twice on what looks like a typical Hove road - can we not leave a bit on Grounders? Just try it.
It's dawned on me why Crocombe ain't playing - Finn said he was fit so Haines & Salisbury didn't have the balls to drop one of the old men. Pathetic. Four top wickets last time out the Crocodile, 4 top wickets. Other than that, I do like the team. I see Carter is keeping. I wonder if Salisbury & Haines forgot who the keeper usually is.
The thing is Wicked Wicket, both Archer & Machan were fine when they had young bodies. They had problems at about 25. What's that about?

Good to see the management have wised up and understood keepers need to keep, make mistakes and get better. Quite frankly the conveyor belt of overseas wicket keepers has been brainless. Another example of poor Sussex management.

A great morning for Sussex.
Anyone know why Madsen wasn't out LBW?
Looked very out on the stream.
Carter is a quality bat, but some work for Sarah Taylor to do with him on his keeping. Probably be a lot less if he had been selected as keeper more often this season as opposed to having to step aside for the revolving door of overseas.
