Seen home by the Biz and Juice. Carter showing the numb-nuts running T20 he's a six hitter.
At last, first win since one of the world wars I think. A special thank you to Billy the Kid. Thanks Billy.

Serious question here, has a county ever lost a game after declaring twice?
Superb from Orr, Rizwan and Alsop.

Maybe but also give some ***ing credit for a change, the way we bowled stopped their quick run scoring.

Derbyshire not enforcing the follow on gave us a chance of victory. Maybe but also give some ***ing credit for a change, the way we bowled stopped their quick run scoring. Sussex bowled well however Derbyshire should never have lost that game. Had they enforced the follow on they would not have done. Sussex took full advantage of Derbyshire's mistake. I hope that if Sussex find themselves in Derbyshire's position in the future they don't make the same mistake. We need to be careful when setting fourth innings totals at Hove going forward as 340+ has been chased down three times this season. A lot of credit for chasing this score down should go to Orr, Rizwan and Alsop.

We dared to dream a few hours ago. Delighted my initial prognosis yesterday evening has been proven wrong.

We did very very well last night and we had a chance to bowl them out this morning too cheaply and still chase the runs. We are seeing some really talented players growing here. Haines, Orr, Clark and now Carter all home grown consistent contributors now. I expect Ibrahim to find consistency soon. This is a decent side just very unlucky with injuries.

Sussex expected to be put back in so when it didn't happen it was like all their Christmas had come at once and they were understandably cock a hoop. But as for Derbyshire why take the risk? If it goes wrong as a captain you look stupid. They should have enforced the follow on given the below last innings scores at Hove this season. If they had done so they would not have lost (may still have drawn as Derby proved). Poor decision by Derbyshire. I was surprised when they declared on 551-8 as I expected them to bat onto 600 (Adams would have done). Durham 364-3 (113.1) (3rd innings but only 3 innings) Middlesex 370-3 (73.5) Sussex 345-5 (73.1) One thing we can both agree on is the quality of the young batsmen coming through in Haines, Orr, Clark and Carter.

We took advantage in a high class manner. To have that much belief is incredible given how long its been since a win and the relentless hate they have to read on social media.
