Multiple changes needed after a disasterious showing at Durham. Olllie Carter, Fynn Hudson-Prentice and Braley Currie must return after the inexpliable decision to drop them in the first plalce. Whoever made that decision should be relieved of coaching duties with immediate effect.
My XI would be Orr, Haines (c), Alsop, Clark, Carter wk, Hudson-Prentice, Tear, Coles, Carson, Faheem/Hunt, Currie.

No point taking the gloves offer Tear now, so they probably will. No point him being at 7 if you do. I would go with how our top 7 should look next season.
Haines Orr Alsop Clark Carter Tear H-P Garton Carson Yadav Ishant
I'm presuming Garton, Yadav & Ishant can play this one too.

Still no Rawlins. Is he on holiday with Salisbury?

Leave out Hunt and Ibrahim. Give Carter the gloves. Bring back Currie and Hudson-Prentice for Hunt and Ibrahim. Tear did alright as a batsman but his keeping wasn't good.
Orr, Haines (c), Alsop, Clark, Carter wk, Hudson-Prentice, Tear, Coles, Carson, Faheem, Currie.

Ashraf shouldn't play. Not sure why he was given a contract for 3 games. He has not shown enough with the ball. Sussex don't have the bottle to leave him out.

I agree however having signed him I don't think whoever is in charge will have the bottle to drop him. I personally don't see much difference in quality between Ashraf and Hunt. Ibrahim averages 22 with the bat and 77 with the ball which is nowhere near good enough especialy with the ball.

Yes, coverpoint. “”…whoever is in charge”. Nicely put. It’s very hard to know at this late stage of the season and no public enlightenment coming from the club. As for Rawlins, he is conspicuously absent from the list of the injured, so one can only surmise how he has gone from ever-present for most of the season to no longer deemed worthy of mention. Our club does work in mysterious ways at times….

Team News
Injuries to their pace bowlers throughout the season has led Sussex to take a number of players on loan. The loss of Crocombe will be a further headache. Ari Karvelas (knee), Steven Finn (knee) and Archie Lenham (back) are also unavailable due to injuries. George Garton is unavailable for selection due to Long Covid.
Sussex squad: Tom Alsop, Faheem Ashraf, Jack Carson, Oli Carter, Tom Clark, James Coles, Brad Currie, Tom Haines (c), Fynn Hudson-Prentice, Sean Hunt, Dan Ibrahim, Ali Orr, Charlie Tear
Glamorgan name an unchanged squad. They opted to play five bowlers in their last game, with Salter coming in for Kiran Carlson. Gill should be back after illness and Sam Northeast is in the squad having missed the last three days of the Derbyshire game for personal reasons.
Glamorgan squad: David Lloyd (c), Tom Bevan, Eddie Byrom, Kiran Carlson, Chris Cooke (wk), Shubman Gill, Andrew Gorvin, James Harris, Michael Hogan, Sam Northeast, Ajaz Patel, Billy Root, Andrew Salter, Timm van der Gugten.
I would expect Glamorgan to leave out Bevan, Gorvin and Salter.
Glamorgan XI: Gill, Lloyd (c), Byrom, Northeast, Carlson, Cooke wk, Root, Harris, Patel, van der Gugten, Hogan

Ah Bevan, what a player. Great memories. Best number 4 we ever had, and a half decent occasional 3 I've heard too.

It's criminal that whoever is picking this side is picking Ibrahim as a bat ahead of Carter. Once again we have two 17 year olds & an 18 year old at 5,6,7.
I dunno what these people are trying to prove but they need to be stopped.
