The real Gordy has been speaking like he's the head honcho from day one my friend. He thinks he's in the office - the sitcom maybe. Or some caravan.
Fantastic news that Farbrace has FULL confirmed control and if Kirtley stays we'll know if he's good enough soon enough cos the main man will dump him if he ain't. It's a shame the main man hasn't so much control that he could dump Andrew. Greenfield is the only man who can get sacked numerous times yet still have loads of jobs. Wish I had that clown's luck.

Farbrace in charge of all men’s professional cricket and Grubby back with his pathways has made us all more positive than we have been for years! 👍🏻 Whilst I’m very positive about Farbrace, having Keith Greenfield at the club is still ridiculous. Having gone through a few Sussex trials when he was overseeing the pathway, it was a very boys club attitude and if your dad knew grubby you’d do all right. This might sound bitter about my “prospects” in the trial but it’s not because I’m pretty average at cricket. The whole attitude and culture at the club has greatly stemmed from him. Having had conversations with him and experiencing his control of the pathway system, I believe it’s poor that he will be overseeing it all. The only exception to the pathway being run successfully was under Richard Halsall who treated you as a person and a player, not in a dismissive way because you played 3s cricket or you didn’t go to bedes, Eastbourne college or a prep school. |

Now that Greenfield has no involvement in the men’s professional cricket I’m a lot happier, but I would be ecstatic if they showed the door to Rob Andrew. Hopefully he can be marginalised when it comes to decisions involving the professional playing side of the club.

One step at a time deepsquare….. the first and most important thing was getting him far away from the first team so he couldn’t do any more damage. |
