Don’t know about anyone else but I was secretly hoping it would be Farbrace. Probably the best we could hope for to be honest. Hopefully he hasn’t got any prior commitments with franchises etc and will be able to commit to Sussex full time from the off.

This is an outstanding appointment, a level above what we all expected but for me it reiterates that this great club is still a big attraction for top players and coaches and thats something we should be all excited about.

Good appointment. No Sussex baggage. I hope he can spend 100% of his time with us. His first job should be to get rid of Kirtley and keep Taylor if she can commit 100% to the Club. No disappearing off to the 100 and leaving our players in the lurch. Of course keeping Flower is a given.
Good luck Paul.

Indeed, Jon eats lives and breathes Sussex Cricket. Ive full of faith in him and Rob too for that matter.
Well done both on an outstanding appointment.

I’m expecting Farbrace to take over most of the 1st team business on and off the field thus putting Grubby back to overseeing the academy.

An unexpectedly impressive appointment.
If the rumours are true, Mr Andrew had very little to do with this, and it was down to Jon Filby.

Farbrace will now lighten his load by overseeing the men’s professional teams so that he can concentrate on all the pathways and pillars 😉
