they are not just a bunch of students they are actually all very good cricketers and they made Sussex look a very ordinary Cricket Team Not convinced a side bowled out for 117 made us look ordinary. We didnt perform great but no point looking too deeply into it especially with 3 very good players coming in this thursday. |

Always good to judge a side by the strength of its bench
Assuming Smith comes in Clark after Round 3, the Sussex Squad not playing would be:
Clark
Coles
Ibrahim
Rawlins
Tear
Lenham
Archer
Atkins
Crocombe
Currie
Karvelas
Hunt
That shows a lot of strength in depth, but squad management and rotation is going to be important.

You can add McAndrew to that list, when Smith arrives he will drop out and do some white ball prep id imagine and add as a back up if Smith or Pujara get injured. |

was it you harping on about the need to sign an international bowler last year the realab1? Pujara and Smith can bat for days, but not much good if we can't take 20 wickets

Karvelas is still an overseas players. Club are sorting out his immigration papers. Might only play in 50/50 as an overseas player.
