For all the misfortunes of yesterday we still have a great opportunity to win this game. Hopefully our very experienced overseas players will be providing lots of positive thinking.

We've let a team off the hook...again. Happens far too often.

These bowlers don’t look threatening at all now. I’m sure they’re tired but it’s tiresome to watch too.

Farbrace must be taking notes here. Without Robinson or McAndrew our bowling attack will struggle. It is frustrating as Sussex are getting closer and closer to winning games Players must be knackered. 3 away games, followed by this home game. Physically and mentally exhausting.

Time to bowl Orr, Alsop and Carter and give this the seriousness it now deserves. Without Pujara, Smith and Robinson we will struggle against Worcestershire. Should be zero points for a draw and 30 points for a win and scrap bonus points.

A comical ending to a very disappointing day. A match of what could have been. At least Sussex limp away with 12 points and remain in second place with 76 points, 10 ahead of their nearest rival and holding the highest number of batting/ bowling points in the second division. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/county-championship-division-two/table

To be honest if Atkins, Crocombe, Finn (always injured), Hunt and Currie cannot get in thi team should they even be on the staff?

Our bowling attack needs a complete overhaul. I share your frustration. How come we’re repeatedly able to bowl teams out fairly cheaply in the first innings but turn into powderpuff for the second innings? However, if we consider our bowlers in turn, the position isn’t so terrible. McAndrew has been outstanding and based on what we’ve seen so far, well worth retaining. Can anyone doubt we’d have won at least one of the last 3 games had he played instead of Smith? Kervelas took 5-136 in this game which is pretty respectable and he’s been consistently good for us. FHP had an off game with the ball but he’s played well this season and is a solid 4th seamer. Crocombe is just 21 and on a rapid improvement curve. Carson was good enough to be selected by the England Lions and is only 22. Hunt is a bit erratic but is only 21. He needs to hone his game in the 2nd team. Currie did well for us last year but hasn’t been given much opportunity yet this season. Then we have Coles, Ibrahim, Atkins, Lenham, Hinley, Finn (if he recovers), Rawlins (if he hasn’t disappeared somewhere near Bermuda) and Garton (fingers crossed). Joe Sarro might return too after graduating. If our young bowlers continue to mature and if the injury gremlins pick on some other team for a change, we don’t need to panic.
