Apparently it’s only for the first half of the season which, if true, means Pujara isn’t coming back (unless it’s for the second half of the season) and we still need a captain. I’ve got a feeling Farbrace will give Simpson the captaincy as he plays all formats. |

If he is indeed costing significantly more than Ali Orr, which is highly likely, why couldn’t Sussex have been competitive and paid more to keep one of their most exciting young players?

I suppose the answer is if he's only here for 3 months, that is cheaper than Ali Orr who you are paying for 12 months, but pro rata I'm sure Hughes will be on more.

I think hes the type of player that will score stacks in England, you look at someone like Renshaw whos career average is 38 these are clearly decent players. Great signing.
