Are we to assume that Will Beer will miss out, now that GD is here? After last night's debacle, Robbo must be thinking long and hard before he names tomorrow's squad.

Flashbade - Beer wouldn't have selected him anyway because he doesn't rate him as a championship bowler despite suggesting England should call him up for the T20 team. I think there will be only one change with Dockrell coming in for Hudson-Prentice.

Team for tomorrow is presumably Yardy, Wells, Machan, Joyce (c), Nash, Wright, Brown (+), Robinson, Magoffin, Dockrell, Linley

With Mills, Jordan, Anyon and Hatchett, all unavailable, it was sensible to bring someone in. Personally, I think we may need to look at giving the youngsters, Robinson and Hobden, a rest, and having Linley around may enable us to do this

Finally the Sussex Press Officer has woken from his slumbers www.sussexcricket.co.uk/news-1/loan-signings-dockrell-and-linley-join-sussex-on-loan and there is some clarification: that Linley plays in all games and Dockree CC only. The wording strongly suggests that both will play in the match beginning tomorrow so perhaps a line-up of: Wells, Yardy, Machan, Joyce, Nash, Wright, Brown, Robinson, Dockrell, Linley, Magoffin Nash has said how much he enjoys No 5, and how much of a new challenge it is for him, so the only other possibility is Craig Cahopa for Machan. Whoever, the batting really does have to come off because the tail has very little sinew, unless Robinson finds the reacquaintance with Durham's bowlers brings out the best in him.

Any chance of Wells, Yardy and Machan actually scoring some meaningful runs in this game? Our batting averages are poor. Do we have a full-time batting coach? HH - How can you leave out Machan when he is top of the batting averages? The only person Cachopa might replace is Wells or Yardy. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/teams/sussex/averages

Machan's OK (top of our averages with 38.70.) Cachopa, Nash and Joyce are also well below par.

Machan's OK (top of our averages with 38.70.) Cachopa, Nash and Joyce are also well below par. It might help Joyce and Nash if they were coming in at 30-3 every innings. Since his hundred Machan has done nothing and really needs to start producing the goods as do the openers as they have a very important job to do and it is really about time all three came to the party. I am all for introducing performance related pay especially for the batsmen. Why should the batsmen be rewarded for being rubbish? Good performances deserve reward. Durham have dropped Callum MacLeod despite him being released by Scotland after scoring only 117 runs in his last 10 completed innings including a pair against Somerset. Ryan Pringle or Graham Clark will replace him. Pringle has scored 606 runs @ 46.61 for the seconds with a best of 167 and has taken 16 wickets @ 36 but hasn't passed fifty since 7th May. Clark has scored 558 runs @ 26.57 with a best of 85*.
