It averaged 35, including those 5, and the worst thing is that average included the two successive Joyce/Machan 100 partnerships at the beginning of the season. |

Why play Shahzad when he isn't match fit? Robinson should have played instead.

In the absence of Shahzad, who alarmingly went off just after 11.30 and has not reappeared, Joyce has compensated by using seven bowlers before lunch - including Luke Wright, whom I thought had officially given up bowling! Luke was doing stretches on his knee after his brief spell so maybe not an experiment to be repeated. |
